Is it kosher to use a 40k Daemon Prince model in fantasy?
Well he SHOULD be on a square base and most tournaments are what you see is what you get, so having some type of gun would be frowned upon, but I haven't met a local gaming club anywhere that didn't let you proxy anything you want on the weekly game nights.

Lol this reminds me when I first got my book and started making lists I thought of putting in a DP. I thought it would be cool to use the bloodthirster model.
Then I read the fluff and learned how wrong a MoT spellcasting bloodthirster would be. Silly me
If you were facing me, I'd say that it is totally fine. Never forget the no. 1 rule of WHFB: have fun. If you bring a 40k demon prince model to the table, not many players will have trouble to remember exactly what the model represents.
I try to govern myself along these lines: 90% true GW models, and 50%+ painted models.
Hey, even I can't stand the Dragon Ogres models...
