    Shaggoth as DP model?

Came across this in my online scrolling today, thinking about doing something of the same sort...

Maybe add the plastic wings from the DE manticore, I love those wings /drool...

I don't know. A shaggoth doesn't look that "daemonic" to me. Also, whats wrong with the plastic prince thats coming up? there brilliant ^^

    wow i love that idea...
sure the new DP's are cool models...mostly....( don't like the heads) the one thing they are missing though is a 2handed weapon...if I was THAT big and strong and bad ass? i would definetly wield something the weight of a tree or something...just so you can swing aways entire lines of infantry...

anyway, go for it is my advice, a model like that would make a most awesome centrepiece of your army.

    DO IT!

    seriously, DO IT!

Wings or no wings, (but you should totally add wings) it can rock as a DP.
And as for the new plastic model coming up, I for one find it hideous! It looks totally goofy and not awesome.

Ok, maybe it won't work so good as a Tzeentch DP, It might if you add feathered wings.
And for a Nurgle one, you would need to add some fat flabs and buts and festering warts.
But for Khorne, Slaanesh or undivided, no problem.

Wait, I just remembered I still have a Shaggoth somewhere, and a butt load of wings (dragon, Tzeetch GD, etc)... I know what I'll do this weekend.

Oh and I found this models as well (and its about to get cast into resin and sold!):

Now how is that for a Tzeetch DP?

here is the site, If you want to pre-order one (theyr about 75 usd tho...)

I'm sure this idea has been voiced before. And from what I remember, it came down to the fact that because a Dragon Ogre Shaggoth is already an option for the army, it would be inappropriate to use it as a "Counts As" Daemon Prince.

I'm making mine from the following parts

Spawn body with tyranid warrior feet
    Warhound head
    Chaos Possessed marine wings
hands/arms/weapons from chaos knights and tyranid bits
green stuff and various accessory parts to add fur and blend everything.

The shaggoth is a great model, but not very customizable and very static to me. I had one, but sold it because i didn't like the lizard to humanoid matchup and the way the model was molded, plus, I hate metal models. I actually can't stand the new DP model so I'm glad I came up with this on my own.

Vrock is great but way too big. I wish the resin guys would make things a bit more usable instead of making these huge, awesome models that would be better served as ornaments on a wedding cake or as a huge paperweight.

    Three things:

    1. I hope they're plastic and cheap instead of metal and expensive.

    2. One of them doesn't have wings. Why? WHY?

    3. When? WHEN?

Oh, and by the way, it's probably a plastic model with "options". The legs and bodies look identical in the armybook.
