Welcome to Librarium Online!
After reading a topic here waaaay back, I decided to convert my own plastic chariot. It’s base was a High Elf chariot, with those big white lions (surprise), and I added a lot of spare bits I had laying around. This includes the flaming effect I tried to make at the wheels (using Deamonette hair).
Here are some pics:
What do you think? It’s my first conversion in a long time (and indeed quite a simple one). What do you guys use for chariots? Shows some pics if you got ‘em, I might want to do a second chariot but with a different base model.
Brutal! Alot better than the normal chaos chariots. Great work!
The details on the cart itself, still looks a bit elfy to me, but for the rest, fantastic.
that looks awesome man! love the idea, but i'm hoping on a new chariot model to come out soon myself, but still looks great, i like the flaming weels idea...i think it might turn out sweet with a nice paintjob.
i don't recognise the 2h axe though...where did you get it?
Great! The lions really "have a Chaosy" look to them, with the horns.
"How do you stop a Chaos Knight from charging? No seriously, HELP!" André le Bouffon, jester of the Bretonnian court - last words.
W00t! Glad to see other people are doing this as well! I left mine a bit more elfy as I see this chariot being a stolen high-elf chariot or a prize of war, I love the knight lance you used in between the two lions, I snipped off their tails and put bumble-bee looking stingers in their place, looks wicked though man!

@Vidrian. It's a pole axe from the older chaos warriors. Cut both arms at the wrists (hey, they're chaos, they should be used to pain) and added a bit of banner pole from the new chaos warriors to complete the whole axeshaft.
Me, i'm just a big fan of the older chaos warriors. So my next chariot (if I find another suitable base model) will also be crewed by the old tin cans. Though my next conversion wil probably be a war shrine.
Looks fantastic! Thanks to AFG for linking me here. Any ETA on the finished thing? (wanna see what you can do with the paintjob )
Looking good mate! I always like to see peoples conversions. Mainly so i can steal ideas but....... actually thinking about it it's purely so i can steal ideas.
Still, It's looking awesome mate! Get that bad boy painted up!!!!
Unfourtunately I don't have a camera capable of macro at the moment so it'll have to wait a few months ugg...
I used a warrior champion holding the same knight lance that you used, only he's also holding the many eye'd tzeentch knight shield as well, and a guy behind him with the skull helmet and a 2 handed scythe ( converted from a 2h flail from the marauder sprue and the 1h scythe weapon from the knight's sprue.)
Your crew are definitely more animated, the one guy with the giant axe looks like the hulk lol, massive hands
I really wish I had done what you did with the 4 slaanesh demonettes scythes on the back and sides, gives a really nice flow to the model.
