Welcome to Librarium Online!
Welcome to the Cheesiest. List. Ever. Contest. This thread is dedicated to creating cheesy and game-breaking lists based upon the WoC book. Cheesy is defined (for the purposes of this contest) as any exploitation or misuse of a game mechanic to suck the fun out of Warhammer.
The first 10 lists submitted to this thread will be included in a poll so that they can be judged as to their cheesiness. The list with the most votes will receive a fabulous prize from me (A Whole Rep!) and the right to call themselves "WoCheese Master"(Or anything else they want to call themselves).
Your list does not have to be complete or have point values assigned, just enough information to judge your tactic. If you feel that the Cheesiness of your list is not immediately evident, feel free to add comments explaining how your exploit/play your list.
In the event that we have a worthy list submitted after the first 10, I will re-do the poll.
Disclaimer: If you ever use any of these lists, you will lose friends. Do not play them in friendly games. Do not play them in tournaments. DO NOT PLAY THEM! unless you want to spend the rest of your Warhammer life friendless and alone.
2nd Disclaimer: These lists are usually not good. They are exploitative lists that can usually be countered fairly easily with the right list/unit/tactic. Do not use these and expect easy wins. Just the occasional Cheesy Win.
You Better (Leadership) Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself:
Demon Prince: MoS, Lv4 Wiz, Diabolic Splendor, Tendrils
Hero: MoT, Disk, BSB, Doom Totem, Shield
Sorc: MoN, Lv2, Power Familiar, Steed
Sorc: MoT, Lv2, Book of Secrets, Spell Familiar
14 Warriors - MoN, Shields, FC, Raptorous Standard
-This list is all about forcing your enemy to take as many leadership tests as possible, all at -2. Your MoT Sorc hopes to get Doom and Darkness with the Book of Secrets and/or tries to keep characters from giving leadership to troops. Your Nurgle Sorc tries to eat dispel dice and/or snipe characters. Your BSB flys around or parks on a hill trying to reduce everyone's leadership by 1. Your DP forces terror tests at -1 (-2 with Doom Totem) and then Hellshrieks for panic tests at -1 (-2 with Doom Totem). Your Hellcannons also cause panic at -1(-2 with Doom).
This is an incredibly nasty list... unless they are immune to psych, and then you are screwed.
"Chaos cares not for self-preservation, for reason, or for truth. The essence of Chaos is Change..." -Teclis
Tzeentch: Change You Can Believe In.
Not enough core it's illegal.
I've played a list looking like this. It's a pretty nice tactic. Though i would fancy knights over cannons. Great for hunting down already fleeing enemys + nthey dont have a riddiculously dangerous misfire chart xD
Also with the current tournament set up? Stegadons, vampires, daemons? Who takes panic tests? Nobody
No one is posting cheesy lists. Hilarious.
This is proving my 'Our list sucks' thread in beautiful fashion.
Not that I don't love Chaos... we just are lacking cheese with our wine these days.
well playing the game is all about having fun not playing to win all the time or you are a total penis head for doing so.
the army at the top is illegal for one and if you play vampires its just not going to work.
2000AD's answer to all "How do VC deal with ..." questions: Forbidden Lore + 2 Power Stones.
Further answers will require more vodka.
Sorcerer Lord 440
-crown of everlasting conquest
-bronze armor of zhrakk
-collar of khorne
-fury of the blood god
Warriors of Chaos(14) 343 **Sorcerer w. fury of the blood god goes here**
-mark of nurgle
-banner of wrath
Warriors of Chaos(14) 318 **Sorcerer w/ power familiar goes here**
-mark of nurgle
Marauders(19) 145 **Sorcerer w/ tongue goes here**
-mark of nurgle
-mark of slaanesh
Chosen(11) 345 **Lord goes here**
power dice: 13
dispell dice: 7 (mr2 on both warrior units)
auto miscast, miscast modification, bound magic missile
This army dominates two tactics, character sniping, and close combat, with up to 4 buboes per phase that's either 4 unit champions dead OR 2 hero level characters dead per phase.
Every unit has at least +2 rank bonus and both warrior units have mr2. This army is used by a staff member at my local GW store and he has yet to be beaten even by PD crazy tzeentch daemon lists.
Chaos Warriors (2009) 16-4-9
Daemon Prince, Level 4, MoT, Tendrils of Tzeentxh, Rage of the Blood God
Sorcerer, Level 2, MoN, Chaos Steed, Power Familiar, Dispel Scroll
Exalted Champ, BSB, MoT, Disc of Tzeentch, Golden Eye of Tzeentch, Flail
25 Marauders, LA, Shield, FC, MoS
10 Warriors Shields MoS
10 Warriors, Shields, MoS
5 Knights, MoN
5 Knights, MoN
1 Chariot, MoS
1 Chariot, MoS
My DP has never died. He can cast in combat (except flickering fire). I normally send them after war machines if i feel i really need to. While gateway may not aways roll 11-12 it does do a chunk of damage and aways sucks dispel dice allowing to cast most of the rest of your spells freely.Terror bombing is always good when able. Versatile/mobile.
Sorcerer is really only there for extra magic support and sniping. +2 save makes him resilient.
BSB, mobile enough to be where he needs to, generally thats near the major combats for the round. can give the DP a stubborn 8 re-roll . Can go war machine/mage/chariot hunting if required. Versatile, mobile
Hounds are for diverting/baiting key opponent units
Warriors protect the flanks and are dead hard against all but the most elite opposition units
Marauders provide some needed static CR good for mopping up units after the hammers or gateway has hit them.
Knights and Chariots are the hammers. Knights can take on most light ranked infantry by themselves but make fantastic flankers. Chariots are there for ASF units/armies also good for assassination runs on characters in units, people forget that the they have 4 S5 attacks and 2 S4 attacks each.
Nearly the whole army is practically ItP with Slaanesh and the knights have fear so LD normally is not an issue. BSB is mobile enough to be where he needs to be.
90% of the Army has 3+ AS saves or better.
Theme of the army, mobile, versatile, resilient.

... and I agree with Pheonix. If an army cannot field broken, cheesy combos ... it sucks? That's some seriously problematic thinking. I honestly hope GW doesn't share your mindset. Otherwise, I fear for the future of our game.
But I'm not here to hijack a thread. The lists are starting to drift in. Post on!
