im going to start a hordes of chaos army after i finish a bretonnian army im working on and i was wondering if anyone has any tips on what army i should choose and why.
I am leaning towards the festering lure of Nurgle the most but any tips would be appreciated.

For one this should be in the topic at the top but nevermind
Chaos Lords are among the most powerful and have some of the coolest magic weapons i think. Hellfire sword **drools** They have their own devastating brand of magic and tzeentch heros are a match for any magician of warrior hero.
Chaos also have one of the strongest core units in the game and one of the strongest if not the strongest cavalry . Chaos Warriors and Chaos knights.
But these units can become ridiculously expensive in points.
To counteract this Chaos have the marauders which are extermely cheap and versatile easily a match for most standard core troops.
Then there are the fun things, the daemons
These are also extremely useful and each have there own characteristics of their patron god. Although can be unreliable due to the rule instability.
Then there are the abilities given to your units by the mark of chaos, you are thinking of Nurgle. (I collect Khorne so i don't know much about these)
The effects the marks of Nurgle make your units cause fear. Undoubtbly a very very useful ability it can make units stop charging you or make them flee from your site.
Nurgle also control the only swarm unit in Chaos the nurglings, very useful for tieing up enemy units. And also have the Plague bearers which are very tough and strong with useful attack options.
Hope i have helped
