Welcome to Librarium Online!
I had (yet) another crazy idea.
In my last 3 games I played around with a unit of Khorne knights and although they were absolute monster in CC, they are quite difficult to control: got baited by gnoblar in 1 game, had a hell of a time putting units in front to cover the line of sight (clusterfck) and even had to lose a turn to charge the good target.
So in the best of world, I thought it would be nice to turn off the frenzy. Simple answer, well why not a bsb with the banner of rage. Not only can you remove the frenzy by moving the hero out of the unit, but you can actually choose which unit will use frenzy based on the deployment (hero are deployed last). I think having the right unit with frenzy is better than having frenzy on all your unit.

Once you move him out he's on his own and has to charge which is even worse plus moving him out slows the knights.
Daemonic cheese-how? Well, you would need to start with daemonic milk, i guess...
Well if he moves behind the unit he does not have a line of sight and he is not baited.Originally Posted by goliath
I also agree there is a chance the knight will lose a turn to get into position but that is better than charging gnoblars and being out of position for two turn.
I play an all Khorne army with four units of knights, I find that with that many frenzied fast moving troops my opponents have a terrible time trying to figure out how to re-direct them, more often than not if they do try they end up getting burned, most of the really good opponents I've had don't even bother trying, at best they can lead one unit astray but quite often that's the unit which ends up in a position to flank or rear charge into an epic melee and tip the balance in my favour.
For Khorne knights I have to say, there is a certain synergy. Many of my opponents complain that the way I play them the forced charge of frenzy is an advantage in my favour because I can measure all my potential charges, see which ones are viable and declare charges only once everything's clear.
Check the rulebook, for characters in frenzied units.
I think he is referring to the fact that a unit we not be affected by the frenzy of a character in the unit. However, you have given him the frenzy banner so I don't see how this is a problem
I generally prefer not to post rules...I stops people from buying rule books, but I'll point it out this time.
Because frenzied units cannot issue charges, the character cannot choose to charge out of the unit, nor can he choose to move out of the unit if the unit is doing its frenzied charge.
So here are your options:
Screen him, like you would have to anyway, and hope no one has shooting or magic on a hill. Keep him out of line of sight of a cannon.
Put him in a unit of infantry, which will be frenzied and open to baiting anyway, and then move him from unit a to unit b.
Or just save the points MofK your knights and buy the 30 point hound unit
