question reguarding the marks .. if i give a sorcerer a mark of nurgle , and he joins a unit with no marks does that unit gain the mark of nurgle? and vise versa?
No. Technically. If a marked unit joins an unmarked unit, only attacks directed against the character will factor in the MoN. If an attack is directed against the unit (such as shooting) there is no effect, even if the character is hit in the end. An unmarked character joining a marked unit does gain some benefit, as most shooting will be directed against the unit, and hence will take the MoN into account. He basically hides amidst the foul stink of his comrades. In hand-to-hand, attacks directed against the unmarked character will not benefit from the units MoN, however.
