Hi, i just started a woc army, i got the batallion set, another unit of chaos warriors, a nurgle and tneetch sorcerer, plus the khorne lord of jugganaught, i see in the batallion set that you get 20 mauraders, is it better to split these into 2 units of 10, and would it be better to include the command group in both seperate units?

First of all welcome to LO.
The only way I ever take Marauders is in a big block of 20 with flails and a full command group. Anything less than that and they panic far too easily. Plus theyre mostly relying on Static Combat Resolution to win.

It depends on what kind of army you want to create and whats how you plan on using the marauders.
If you want to use marauders to win combat then you need to have a bulky unit with many ranks. Give them flails and armor and mark them Khorne. Do not give them a champion, but give them a banner and a musician.
But on the other hand you can use them as cheap cannon fodder or screens for your warrior units. That way you can use them as 2 blocks of 10 marked Slaaneesh, to avoid panic. If you use them like this you'll get to fill your core slots and spare points for your special slots where you can include knights and chariots.

I know people who have 2X10 units with mark of slanesh and flails and they are used to take table quarters by marching them into terrain etc, whilst at the same time the flails give them some kick if anyone wants to get too close.
If you want marauders to have some hitting power I say go Great weapons all the way. Flails are ok but for 5 points a model its better having that Str 5 imo.
Units of 10 with mark of khorne and flails or GW is perfectly acceptable.

Myself i take 15 or 20 marauders with mark of khrone and great weapons. The flails will only work in the first round anyways so might as well give them great weapons for the S bonus. Mauarder I is average and Great weapons are extreamly cheap on them.
If a Million Guardsmen die, that's a statistic. If one marine dies, that's a tragedy.
