Welcome to Librarium Online!
Ok so how do we beat the neck drainers?
You can't. We're everywhere and powerful beyond any of you.
No but really, these are some basic pointers I would give you..
First, do your best to stave off the magic. I wouldn't worry about the reviving of most units barring Grave Guard and the like since your own troops should be able to knock them back down just as rapidly. Keep your dispel dice for his ASF shenanigans, magical charges and the odd sneaky raising of a Zombie screen.
Secondly, focus your attention on his characters, the Vampires in particular. By removing them you will gradually start to decrease his magic output (his offensive output as well, by the way) which will allow you to hack the undead down with more efficiency. I would not go head-over-heels in an attempt to reach the Vampire Lord unless you have a clear path to him, it could be a trap of sorts. A lone remaining Lord will usually not be able to punch through your dispel dices too badly on his own anyway. If the Vampire Lord is geared for close combat, try to engage him with your own heavy hitter(s) and smash him through either wounds caused or CR.
Third, be wary of his fast units that can get behind your army and cause march-blocking headaches. Focus either on using magic missiles or keep a unit or two of Horsemen ready to clear your back field.
Fourthly, use the MoS on pretty much everything with the odd MoK for things you intend to be hammer units. Chaos Knights of Slaanesh will be enough to hammer through a unit of Skeletons in a couple of turns as long as you can keep his magic under control. To help with this, try to hit him in several places at once. This will force him to spread his magic out across the field instead of focusing it on a single point unless he wishes to have an errant unit of Chaos Knights/Warriors coming for his softer parts.
Anyway, this is just some basic stuff. I can't really give you anything else since I don't play WoC myself, heheh.
Thanks for that advice. Don't know a great deal about VC armies except the guy I'm playing has never been beaten so I guess he is kinda good with them. Grave Guard, Blood knights, at least 3 Vampires (one a Lord) some hounds, blocks of skellies and a Varghulf (fast and nasty
