Welcome to Librarium Online!
I had a small Chaos army in the last edition (along with some Wood Elves and Dark Elves for the past three editions (Cult of Slaanesh most recently)) and it's taken me a while to decide on WoC for this edition, but decide I have .
Now I've been picking up the odd new box set here and there (and boxing up the beasts and daemons) and after a little flitting back and forth I'm hoping to kick off with the following Slaanesh-based 1000pts (as that's the best size for tables the store has ).
I'd really appreciate any feedback on it.
Chaos Sorceror (Level 2)
Biting Blade, Chaos Armour, Mark of Slaanesh
12 Chaos Warriors
Hand Weapon, Chaos Armour, Shield
Full Command, Mark of Slaanesh
12 Chaos Marauders
Champion, Musician. Mark of Slaanesh
5 Marauder Horsemen
Flail, Light Armour
Musician, Mark of Slaanesh
5 Chaos Warhounds
5 Chaos Warhounds
5 Chaos Knights
Ensorcelled Weapons, Chaos Armour, Shield, Barding
Champion, Mark of Slaanesh
1 Chaos Warshrine
Mark of Slaanesh
It's probably lacking a little in focus as I want to play with a little of everything. The sight excess of Champions (e.g. Marauder Champ) is due to the Warshrine (which I really want to try out). I previously had a larger Marauder unit and a Spawn in the Rare spot, but that didn't seem as miuch fun.
Thanks in advance.
Looks fun! love the warhsrine thing you've got going on :p
is MoS a must?
Cause I'd really love to see an Exalted Hero with Mark of Tzeentch on a disc with armor of morslieb and a flail in there. Would be devastating! Not many 1000pts list are built to hold against 4 s7 attacks in the first round, and can't inflict a single wound against 2+ armor save and 3+ ward save!
Otherwise I'd love to replace your infantry marauders with another unit of horsemen

Hi, thanks for the feedback.
The reason for the MoS and the Marauders is mostly due to owning the Marauders and having an amount of my army already painted up that way (my old army was Slaanesh Mortals, Tzeentch Beasts and a mix of Daemons).
If everything was mounted except the Warriors, would they not get left behind a little? My thinking was that a unit of SnB Warriors with a unit of Flail-Armed Marauders flanking them would get a decent amount of attention and allow the Horsemen a little more freedom.
I'll give some thought to this, though.
Has anyone had any luck with a small unit of flanking flail-wielding Marauders? I've used them with some success in my DE CoS army, where they hit hard enough to warrant attention but were cheap enough for me not to care about their loss, but not tried them out like this with a WoC force.
Glad to see, by the looks of it, that there's not much wrong with the rest of my picks .
