Welcome to Librarium Online!
After much searching, fortune struck at the FLGS, and I found a Babylon 5 miniature, the Vree Xeel War Carrier.
At last, I needn't pay $30 for a Lord of Tzeentch just for the disc.
From above, the disc looks better than it does in this side angle, but here it is from an online vendor. I've had a tough time locating it online, besides this one.
Flying saucers to the rescue, I suppose. No flames, and no blades, which for me is okay. I was never a huge fan of the GW discs.
Neat, and a little green stuff could complete it. Get yourself one of these sorceres to ride it:
You mean like this one?
Here he is for $3.99 (US).
Warhammer Chaos Sorcerer Limited Edition - NIB MOC - eBay (item 260468512324 end time Sep-03-09 06:24:35 PDT)
Yep! I've already got one, it's a great model! The staff has good potential for conversions, too.
I've been looking at alternatives too (not that I'll be needing one any time soon, but still) and I think the only GW alternative is the Daemon Screamers of Tzeentch.
I do think those flying saucers look okay, but probably more 40k-ish than FB-ish.
Mysterious Member of the ANZAC Clan
I used to use a converted warrior on the top of a Fruitopia Bottlecap. The designs were psychadelic and tzeechina enough. I was, however, laughed at regularly.
I just used some angelic wings from a model I bought (probably spent too much on the wings $14 ouch) and converted a chaos warrior with some leftover knight bits. I've always gotten compliments on him and he works very well. I used the chaos terminator base thing and some skulls and bits to spruce up my base a bit.
