As far as a tournament setting, the Slaanesh lore is a little unreliable. Four of its spells, all of them good, are rendered useless by common tourney armies/units. Hysterical Frenzy, Titillating Delusions, Hellshriek, and Aura of Acquiescence lose much of their value against VC, DoC, many deathstar units, Temple Guard, etc. Hysterical Frenzy is still useful to use on your own units, which most people will rarely do, Lash is somewhat of a downer in effectiveness. That leaves Ecstatic Seizures as your only universally awesome spell against all comers, and as we all know no matter how many magic users you take there's no guarantee you'll get it, let alone multiple times.
In friendly games, though, if your opponent doesn't mind you creating army lists on the fly, Slaanesh can be a really devestating lore to use. Ecstatic Seizures is possibly even cheatier than Black Horror, Hysterical Frenzy lets you lead your opponent around the board by the nose, and Hellshriek used in conjunction with the Doom Totem and some carefull maneuvering of Marauder Horsemen and Warhounds has the potential to wipe out half your opponent's army in a single magic phase. Sure, the Empire lores and Nurgle and Tzeentch lists have more damage spells, but it's important to remember that direct damage is usually the least effective use for magic.

For some reason i find it ironic that the Golden Eye of Tzeech perfect for the Slaneesh sorcerer. For reasons listed their magic can got up crappy, but with that item that will matter less. My favorite is DE and casting DARK POWER. Mwahahahaha!
The mark for his lore is cheap too, only like 5 points. The difference between that and the other Mark choices balance out the cost for the Eye a bit.
Third Eye of Tzeentch, nor Golden Eye. But yes, cheeseball DE spells get turned around on them (and in many cases to better effect) and Vaul's Unmaking becomes the bane of HE deathstars.
Slaanesh magic is good but somewhat awkward to use. Did you had a look at the Tactica (http://www.librarium-online.com/foru...#post1364967)? (Warriors of Chaos Tactica Work in Progress)
Anyway, the first spell is somewhat useless (but it is a magic missile nevertheless). If you play against immune to psychology opponent my opinion is that you loose Hellshriek and Titillating Delusion. As for Hysterical Frenzy it is extremely efficient on your own unit (of chaos knights and warriors). Aura of Acquiescence is also actually better on ItP units since tends to have an average LD value (but you are denied the fear/terror effect).
I think as many people have said, it is more of a support role, which is not neccacerally a bad thing. It seems to me like it would work wonders with a slannesh themed army (who woulda guessed) with lots of fast cav and phychology running around. And then theres ecstatic seizures, 10 out of 12 times , it beats gateway unless your amying at something extremely tough (i think we all know the exception), plus it casts at a lower value.
Death Gaurd: 6/6/2
Warriors of Chaos 3/1/1
I've been using slaanesh on a dragon lately and have no problems against anyone. You get the #6 spell 5 out of 6 times and it destroys anyone. Plaguebearers, graveguard, ect.
The rest of the spells are good, you'll always find some spells to use. Then when you play against non-ITP you start to really dominate people.

It is a very very good lore if you know how to control the magic phase. I used it in a tournament on the weekend and throughout the weekend my magic was a strong contender and most players had a hard time dealing with it (although my overall result was rather disappointing for many other reasons)
Lash isnt really worth bothering about, but it can be useful for dealing with annoying diverters like harpies.
Hellshriek can be pure gold if used correctly, espcially if your opponent cant stop the caster because hes behind units. 18 inches from the model and everything needs to take a panic, this spell is great against all but the obvious few armies, because for such an easy to cast spell, you can very easily get alot of targets.
Hysterical Frenzy + Character Chariot w Flail = Fun Times, I used this combo quite a few times on the weekend (as i already had frenzied knights) and boy did he do some damage, first youve effectively got 4.5 str 5 impact hits, then you have 5 str 7 ws 7 hits, 3 str 5 ws 5 hits and 4 str 4 ws 3 hits, never underestimate how much damage this can do on its own, but its always nice to add something in to help.
In a chaos army this is just gold, Marauder Cav with Flails now become a massive threat, Ogres can kill take enemy units in the front so on so forth. But what makes it best, is the fact that you can stop the spell whenever you want, I.E after there unit has charged for instance.
Its also very good to deal with those annoying diverting units that get in you know will get in your way.
Titilatting Dilussions is just a spell that the enemy has to dispel, mainly because it can set you up for a flank charge that can cost him the game, nuff said really. Its uses are obvious and thats what makes it so useful. (very good if you want to get rid of their dice in a hurry)
Aura of Acquiesence, I didn't really use this enough for me to right much on it so yea.
Ecstatic Seizures, Boy did this spell do alot. Killed about 12 Horrors, 17 Marauders a crap load of humans. This spell is just soooo good against low t armies, ESPCIALLY Daemons, this is good against any Daemon unit even plaguebearers, because otherwise they can be a real nuisance to kill.
IMO the Lore of Slaanesh is a highly underrated lore, that can be effective against all armies if used correctly.
Against ItP armies/units its all but worthless. You really can't do much with it if the enemy is immune to psycology, since Slannesh magic is based on screwing with their minds.
If a Million Guardsmen die, that's a statistic. If one marine dies, that's a tragedy.
No its not, If you get ecstatic seizures against Daemons or Tomb Kings, its absolute gold.
