    Daemon Princes

While I'm rather new to warhammer and WoC, I have yet to see anyone use a daemon prince in a serious list. I figure this is because they cost so many points?

Would it be effective to run something like this:
    Daemon Prince
    -lvl 4 wizard
    -Tendrils of Tzeentch
    -Diabolic Splendour
    -Mark of Nurgle

    Total 585pts

Gives you a solid melee character who can destroy units in the magic phase as well.

This would be better used as a sorcerer, you don't want that many points in combat without better protection. Make sure to watch out for enemy warmachines as well, don't rely on the ward save, ecspecially since you are a large target.

The only fantasy Daemon prince at the moment is Be'lakor.

The ones in the book are supposedly a kit that hasn't been released yet. According to the GW guy it'll be plastic, too.

DP's aren't large targets, but your advice is still sound. IMO, Daemon Prince's are awesome...in a daemon army. For chaos mortals, not being able to join a unit is a huge drawback. If the DP was unit strength 5 or something like that, then he would be awesome and most everyone would take one, but as it is a unit of skink skirmishers can cause some serious harm.

Whoops, you're right. Don't know why I thought they were. (Maybe 'case they can't join units, and they're big and scary).

So in that case, don't rely on your ward save, especially since you can't join units.
