So I got the Lizardmen Stegadon because it looks like it could be an awesome warshrine. Here's what I have so far:

Also, I plan on making a portal out of the citadel fake water stuff and giving it a blue tinge, to go in the middle, with a screamer or horror coming halfway out of it (Tzeentch Warshrine).
I'm also wondering if anyone else has any awesome ideas for this beast.
I really like the carriage on the back. It looks very nice. My only hesitation is the Stegadon screams Lizardmen to me. This is not something your skill can change, just my opinion.
The Tzeentch daemons coming from the portal sounds awesome. Not sure how strong you want it, but you could also always try plastic cling wrap with layers of inks/varnish to color and solidify it. It may be easier than the fake water.
When I think chaos, I see pyres, skulls, artifacts (from dead enemies and historical chaos stuff) and the works. Try adding some of that. The shields do look really nice though.
Oh and add some warriors to it .
Looking really good so far.

My warshrine is a kitbash of the new stegadon and the giant box, basically a huge shaggoth carrying the Lord's war trophies on its back. I like what you're doing by modifying the howdah, I had thought about it but wasn't sure how to go about it to make it look good. Keep posting pics as you work on it, and good job!
Thanks for the compliments guys. Im planning on filling in the lines on the edge of the howdah with green stuff, to take away a bit of the aztec look. Im also thinking of making chain links out of green stuff, or taking extra flail chains, and attaching some extra skulls lying around to those. Maybe I should attach them to the ropes on the stegadon rather than the howday itself? Not sure what else to do with the actual stegadon itself, any ideas?
Just a suggestion, which may actually make it easier for you. Since you're modeling the warshrine as a captured stegadon you may want to leave the Lizardmen markings on; basically an engine of the gods that was captured and then defiled.
The marauder horsemen box comes with a bunch of chains, as well as some 'loose' spears and axes that you could pile on. Also, games workshop has a metal 'pile of skulls' as well as skull bits, which would look great on the back and scattered around its feet.
Is there some section on the site that the skull bits and pile are on? I need to be able to provide a part number to get my local retailer to order in.
Sweet, I think I might pick some of them up when I figure out exactly what I want to do with them.
