I want to ask you, other players, if you have any experience with chaos dragons.
Especially what choice (lord or sorceror lord) is better, which mark, is it wort approx 750pts, and how to play them? Are they though enough to live without making mistakes or they are fragile and must be protected and guarded?
I found a Pinkus' list with slaanesh dragon but it is only chaos dragon lord i found so far
I want to build one for myself, but its a lot of work on conversion, a lot of money and a lot of possibilities how to make them look out, that I dont want to make big faults even before I start playing him.
Thank for any comments.

Combat dragons are usually all or nothing and really can only be in 1 place at a time. The fact that our dragon has 2 breath weapons that can be shot in the same phase lends it to combo great with a magic lord, because the dragon doesn't just suck up points, but deals a lot of damage himself, along with diabolic splendor, the combo gets even better.
WoC Sorcerer Lord on Dragon is the best dragon in the game. Stardragons are too limited as they can only be in 1 place at a time and usually dance around for a few turns breathing units before charging in the later turns.

Dragons aren't really meant for combat, which is strange. Instead, they're better as a deterrent, flying around and throwing their weight so that the enemy has to constantly be afraid of being charged. Of course, towards the end of the game you'll probably end up sticking your Dragon into a fight, but for the majority, you're going to be playing cat-and-mouse between your Dragon, things that can kill your dragon, and things that your dragon would destroy. Terror is good, Diabolic Splendor does help, and the fact that our Sorcerers can take enough armor to keep themselves alive for a while, is an even bigger benefit. You should focus on built-in-protection, so that you don't have to be constantly babysitting the Lord on top, but leave the model naked otherwise, other than maybe MoN. Too many points in one place is a horrible mistake to make.
Thak you for your answers and also for link, these all were very helpful for me. Firstly I am sorry that I started new topic on the same issue.
I am still not sure if it is not silly to try him to play I am thinking about a sorceror lord probably slaanesh, maybe tzeentch (nurgle doesnt fit to my fluff) or undivided (for death or heavens lore). Equiped by crown, enchanted shield and spell familiar, as gift splendour or maybe 3rd eye on slaanesh? Its about 750pts... good points denial if it is possible to let him survive the battle
Do you think that tzeentch demon prince lvl4 with tendrils or just lvl4 on mount plus unit of 6 knights are better options?
shame really as a nurgle sorc works pretty well on a dragon IF you get rot glorious rot (i'd always advise taking spell familiar anyway to help with getting any of the top spells)
if you're going slaanesh with the dragon and splendour, you can get a BSB with the doom totem as well to further reduce their leadership
I've only played a couple games with it but I had a Nurgle Sorc lord on a dragon and did really well. The -1 to shoot at is nice, gave him enchanted shield, puppet, Book secrets, and scroll and splendor. basically harassed whole game with 2 breath weapons and spells while he approached my infantry lines and hellcannon. The dragon basically threatens to flank and forces them to react. Nice thing about nurgle is that you can cast a lot of its spells in combat, especially since its a large target and can see over the unit its engaged with. I could see how slaanesh would be strong as well, and the tzeentch would be nice for the ward save but not a huge fan of the lore.
just out of curiosoty, how do you all modle you dragons? It seems a decent ammount of people use them but i've never seen how to actually make or convert one because there isnt a lord on dragon on games workshop.
You also have access to the old Egrimm on Baudros miniature, and the special char drgaon models (both of which I actually hate) if you wanted
