viable Banner of the Gods BSB setup

    Thinking between 2 variants:
Exalted Hero, BSB, BotG, Shield, Flail, Mark of Tzeench, Disc = 299
    or
Exalted Hero, BSB, BotG, Shield, Flail, Mark of Slaanesh, Steed of Slaanesh = 299

Plus of Tzeench BSB: 6+ ward, fly.
Minus: skaven stormbanner - disc have only 1 Mv

Plus of Slaanesh: 10" Mv mount, on march - 20" - almost flying
Minus: waste points on Mark - hero already causes Terror, and reroll on Panic Test.

    Mb give him Chaos Steed?
    Any gift ideas?

I will use this bsb with unit of Chaos Warriors and Chosen. So he need to give Stubborn for this 2 units (and mb warshrine)

I've don't use the BotG, but I 've had good luck mounting a BSB on a steed with a flail for popping black coaches. 20" first-turn charge, pop it, flee the inevitable charges on your opponents following turn, then rally on your turn and rejoin your original unit (or another, if need be) courtesy of the Fast Cav rules. Same tactic has worked well (though less reliable) on Engines of the Gods.

The only downside to the disc setup is one banner in the entire game....... that should tell you enough right there. Go with the disc. Being able to fly over shit makes you much more maneuverable than the M10 steed, and that BSB is by all means, a game changer.

The steed of slaanesh charges works only if your opponent hasn't got war machines. Otherwise it's suicide without a ward save. The main reasons I see using the steed of slaanesh is to keep the possibility to join units while retaining speed. If you want speed without protection, go disc. If you want protection go with a barded steed. If you want both, steed of slaanesh is a good choice.
