    What to buy?

Having a little money to spend on the hobby tomorrow I find myself in a dilemma, there are three models that take my fancy and I'm having trouble picking one:

    1) Warhammer Giant - Good in game? Not so pretty, but the cheapest of the three. If I go with this one I can afford to buy a second Lord on Tzeentch on a Disk.

    2) Shaggoth - Less good in game? Pretty, middle priced.

    3) Winged Nazghul - I'll crib the rules for a sorcerer on a Manticore and put it on a 50mm square base. The prettiest of the three, and, if I'm honest, more something I want to paint than something I want to play. Also the most expensive.

I have pretty much everything else I can buy in greater or lesser quantities.
Does anyone have any opinions they'd like to share, experiences good or bad with any of these in-game or alternative suggestions?
    I'm dithering.

    Invisible Toast.

I throw a Giant in my list just for fun. If you do a little bit of a conversion on him he doesn't look too bad. In game Giants tend to draw A LOT of attention from your oponent which can lead to them forgetting about the other cool stuff WoC can do. I get him to tie up larger units of troops, or draw fire away from my casters.

If you want to paint clearly go with option 3.
Is the shaggoth better than giant? maybe, I think both have advantages and disadvantages. I won't go into details but one thing I can say is that gamewise the giant is a lot more funny (and random) to play. As for the Shaggoth, well you can play Kolek also. The seller thing for me is that a giant is a plastic kit. A lot more fun to assemble, convert and loads of bits parts...
