Which mark do you think is generally most effective on lv 2 sorcs in 2-3k-games vs any kind of armies?
personally i absolutely despise nurgle in every single way, he repulses, disgusts and annoys me, tzeentch is just generally amazing in everyway... i took mark of nurgle, his spells are just generally better and alot nastier, curse of the leper? SICK! (lol) just because i prefer tzeentch doesnt mean im too stupid to realise nurgles potential, i could just never us his daemons or an all-nurgle army lol
nurgle has one good basic reliable spell, and 2 big nasty spells (i dont consider 2,3,4 to be that useful most of the time. maybe 2)
tzeentch has the best basic spell in the game, a decent second spell, an amazing third spell, a great 4th spell vs most units, a useful 5th spell if used correctly and the most powerful spell in the game IMO for thier final spell, along with a free ward save and +1 to cast, i would take tzeentch anyday
Fantasy : Empire, Chaos Warriors, Chaos Daemons, Vampire Counts, Beastmen, High Elves, Lizardmen( but i have opinions on every army just not the money)
40k: Black Templars, Imperial Guard, Dark Eldar, Tau (thinking of Eldar)
I tend to run one of each in muh 2250, they tend to work well in concert. A lot of times i'll simply run festus and default his 2nd spell down to buboes. Having him throwing that remains in play out there i find works pretty well with a lvl 2 tzeentch who tosses FF. Also if you do happen to get lucky enough to get pandemonium down with CotL, that really puts a sting on your opponent to burn up his upcoming magic phase to get rid of the remains in plays. Either which way has it's benefits and faults, nurgle is good for heavily armored characters, whereas tzeentch has a more "general" feeling to it. So far for myself, running one of each has paid off, plus the points for gear add up perfectly almost every time, festus+tzeentch sorc that has puppet and 5+ ward after the mod has proven most effective. Anyways, bottom line is dabble around as you see fit, and then draw your own conclusion, after all, that's what makes this hobby so great!
I wonder if there will be cake.....
