There's a thread 'bout Chaos Lord builds, and I need advice on the best Sorcerer builds, so I decided to kill two Elves with one Buboe and start this thread. I searched for similar threads but I didn't find any, so I apologise if there is one that already exists, anyway.
What are your favourite/most powerful Sorcerer Lord/Chaos Sorcerer builds? Why? How do you use them?
I still gotta say the lvl2 tzeentch sorcerer with puppet/ToP has become a staple in my army list, regardless of theme, he's always there to make the slaan realize his worst nightmares
Pardon my ignorance, but to what does "ToP" stand for? I'm new to the Warriors of Chaos y'see, and I'm still getting used to the lingo.
talisman of protection would be my guess.
I've found the best sorcerer lord/hero setup for a 2k-3K game is as follows:
Mark of Nurgle, Level 4, Barded Steed
Book of secrets, Enchanted shield, Spell familiar, Dispel Scroll
Mark of Slaanesh, Level 4, Steed of Slaanesh
Book of Secrets, Crown of everlasting Conquest, Spell Familiar
Mark of Nurgle, Level 2, Barded Steed
Power familiar, Dispel Scroll
Mark of Tzeentch, Level 2, Disc
Infernal Puppet, talisman of protection
Mark of Nurgle, Level 2, barded Steed
Rod of torment
so 14 PD, 7 DD and 1 or 2 scrolls
2010 WoC Cav W/L/D - 7/3/1
Then again, there's always my favey fer Daemon Prince....
-Tendrils of Tzeentch
-Fury of the blood god
What kind of army would support a 4 sorcerer list? Because if my adding is right you'd be spending slightly over half (if you're playing 2k) on Sorcerers, so what else would be in there, and what would work?
that would be a horseman list... core of marauder horse with knights or dragon ogres filling out the rest.
Is there any room for a magic heavy list with a solid core of Warriors at its heart? I just like the idea of having a large block of Warriors moving forward, grinding down everything in its path.
So, two units of 18 Warriors with 4 sorcerers, runs up about 1500 w/o any upgrades on those units, and you'd want full command in there too. My thinking'd be those two thick units, flanked by Marauder Horseman to protect them, p'raps a Mark of Nurgle or Mark of Slaneesh for staying power?
