How good is the Banner of the Gods now, when Stubborn is such a big thing?
"The more choices you force the opponent to make, the better the chance for you to capitalize on his mistakes"
Big! I've been playing around with how to get it in a list. Maybe on a Khorne Exalted with a fat armor save.
It's either that or taking lots of tests against big blocks, rerolling with the rapturous standard.
I think if the bubble was bigger it would be an absolute must. With 6 inches you are basically paying 125 points to make one unit stubborn most of the time, Im not sure if thats worth it imo.
I've always taken it in 2k games and higher. It's too good not too. Sure our Marauder units will be 30 strong but enemy units will probably be bigger. Recently i've been playing Orc units of 30, Goblin units of 50 and Undead units of 50. We can't compete with these armies for unit size. Even one of the Beastmen players is having a unit of 50 Ungor Spearmen.
Just because we're having bigger units doesn't mean they are going to be bigger than the enemies. Relying on having bigger units isn't going to work all the time so I'm still going to keep the Banner in my lists to keep those 30 Marauders where they should be.
Don't forget it causes Terror as well and that's pretty cool too.
Terror is useless now. Problem is, my disc rider can't hide behind units now to avoid shooting, so I think this item is still good, but is now over priced.
Considering a BSB and rapturous standard gave a 65% to hold when you needed snake eyes means at LD9 you're virtually unbreakable. Somewhere in the 98.8% chance to hold category. Yeah, my knights aren't going anywhere.
