So, Warriors of Chaos have got a bashing, and it seems that small units of Warriors simply doesnt make it over the board and if they do they suffer so heavy casualties that they are no longer effective.
Is it time to bring back the Death Star Warrior unit of about 20 Warriors + 1 Exalted run 7x3? Give them the Blasted Standard and then give the hero Fury of the Blood God or Collar of Khorne.
How do we afford these big units? Do we just take 1, or do we make an army purely of elite infantry?

I'm going to try 1 more game with only 18 guys, but I'm putting MR1 into the unit to try and help against the magic.
3+ 6+ just doesn't cut it against a lot of shooting. People are going to be bringing big shooting units now. 20 crossbowmen can easily kill 3-4 guys a turn, and handgunners will kill even more. Meaning if it takes us 3 turns to get to the crossbowmen, we lost most our unit.

Luckily there are no 'Forces of Order' in my Groop (bar Bretonians if they count) so I don't really have to worry about casualties by shooting. However I think, I'd still rather have 3 units of 12 than 2 units of 18. Multiple units will make an opponent split his fire and units of 12 are less of a target for Warmachines.
I think I'll be spending more points on Hounds though. Even if they only provide cover they're still providing a -2 to hit against the Warriors/Marauders behind. That means most people are hitting on 6's or 7's. If people shoot the Dogs then fair enough. That's a turn of not shooting my Hard stuff.
