So here is what I will be using for my sorcerer (or Herald if I start a Daemons army).
SOLD OUT - Vorneus and the Crawling One - Reinforcements Box Set - Stray Ones (x2 figs) French Version - HELR04EG
I got it in today and the scale is good. Just a hair bigger than a Chaos Warrior. The box came with both figs in the pic. The second one would make a nice Nurgle sorcerer/herald.
I'm probably going to mount the Tzeentch-looking guy on a disc.
Awesome. Just keep in mind you can't use that in any tourneys you might play in, since it's not made by GW.
Yeah I know. I'm not much of a tournament player though. Maybe I will magnetize him to the disc and then I can swap him out for the sorcerer that comes with the disc if need be.
Oh. I thought most WFB and 40k tourneys restricted your model use. <------ not a tourney player.
I can't speak for elsewhere, but the Texas indy tourney scene is relaxed.
And nice models by the way.
Check these out. Kraken editions: Galery
I got the 2nd one down for a Tzeentch sorcerer. Would be cool for beastmen too.
Haha, I find it sickeningly ironic that the first model on Dave's link is named "Tecum'seh", which is a play on William Tecumseh Sherman, who fought against the native Seminole tribes in Florida, prior to his ruthless service in the American Civil War. Oh well- the victors write the history and all that. Still, the link is a pretty awesome model, albeit a bit too skinny and tribal for my tastes.
The first models on the otherhand, are awesome. I can't imagine trying to paint them though- especially all the maggots. You could get some pretty cool effects going with either of them. Good find!
