It is like this. I played choas in 6th edition and now im wondering if i should play them again. Have played skaven to.
My question is if you could help me decide if i should play chaos again.
I play round 2500 p and what i like in an amry is to have fun. I like close combat and i like magic. I have played ogre kingdom and VC in 8th edition but i found that they lacked something in gameplay so i sold everything. I like to win but not thanks to a broken army (everyone likes to win). Im thinking of playing skaven to because they have a little of every thing, that way i mabye dont get bored. So im wondering if you can tell me why you play WoC? And i have read alot of post in the forum but i still have some questions about how should i beat dark elves, Skaven and high elves. Any pointers?
Sorry for the spelling. And thanks for the help.
I'm pretty new to WFB, but I love WoC.
Our base guys are just amazing, I never feel bad about loading up on core because our core are pretty much better than everyone else, and even some armies special choices. Our Models looks great and a fully painted warriors army marching across the board is a beautiful thing to see. (Almost as beautiful as the pile of dead enemies we get to see after a couple rounds of close combat)
Our Close combat is something to be reckoned with. The destruction Khorne warriors with Halberds or even extra hand weapon can bring can be breathtaking, combine that with a warshrine that gives an extra attack and that's a whole lot of dead enemies.
I really don't see myself getting bored anytime soon. OUr army is awesome and there are a lot of differant ways to make armies for us, so nothing ever just feels like... the same old same old. I am sure after a few years maybe, but thats why GW puts out new codex. =P
I play dark elves a lot actually, and the key is to know who you are playing. If you have to deal with magic a lot, WoC has some great MR items and the best item of all the "Puppet"
High Elves, I just run all MoT so that way we get a Ward Save against that first round of combat and then smash them in the face on 3's or less depending on how the games progressed. They want to be in CC and so do we, and with some strategic placement I've found we win on the regular.
Skaven. Not too sure about fighting them since we don't have a skaven player at my local store yet.
We have great lores, and great CC. If thats what you want, Play us
It seems strange to say, but we're very diverse. We might not have shooting, but that's all we don't have. We have monsters, cheap infantry, elite infantry and super elite infantry. We have cool special units like warshrines & hellcannon that add to the game. 95% of everything in the army book is at least okay to bring, so you don't get any cookie-cutter builds. We have 3 cool lores of our own, as well as a fun to use flying monster. Our lords can stand toe to toe with any other model in the game.
Outside playing, we have extremely nice looking models. We're also one of the cheapest armies to build. The battalion is actually a great buy, which a lot of the armies can't boast. 5 chaos knights for $25, are you kidding me? That's dirt cheap and those sculpts look amazing.
