Maybe this is the wrong forum, but since the Campaign Forum doesn't get much traffic and I'll be playing WoC maybe this is enough to post the idea and get some feedback.
The Mad Alliances
The idea is to have 4 armies (each 1000pts. in size) play 2v2 over three games.
A. Warriors of Chaos
D. Not sure - was thinking Lizardmen or Ogre Kingdoms.
Game 1. AB-vs-CD, Game 2. AD-vs-BC, Finale AC-vs-BD.
Each game ends once one of the 4 armies has been completely destroyed. The winner is the player with the most points left in their list. The LOSER gets an extra 100pts. troops the following game, 3rd gets 50, 2nd gets -50 and the winning army -100.
Killing an enemy hero (in CC or by 1:1 magic) gets you an extra 20pts. of items for your hero the following game (disregarding your army/item-rules limit).
Holding the Objective Zone when the game ends allows you to steal an item from another player's item list (including your ally) from their army book.
No magic Lore can ever be used twice (I know this will cause issues, but it would also add variety). Winner buys drinks!
What do you think?
Changes made in RED.
I like the idea that the someone who has done really well will have a piddling army but an awesome hero.
Contribute ideas in BLUE
I will copy and paste this (and any contributions/revisions) into campaign section tomorrow. It's not so much about competitiveness at this stage, just something I want to try out with friends first. I'm still conceptualizing it - the idea is to play off synergies and strange army builds.

I personally don't like campaigns that small, but whatever works for you and your mates
The Silver Knights of Tor Adrac (He): 26/2/4
The Spears of Slaanesh (Woc): 7/2/5
Battlegroup Chalybso (GK): 7/3/3
Giving the winner the most reinforcements just ensures he will keep the lead.

Looks like you've worked out a good system there- more of a tournament than a campaign though.
If it is going to be competitive, I'd be careful about giving characters extra wargear beyond their usual limits. I would especially avoid allowing them to steal enemy items. You never know how items will combine from different books. For example- an Ethereal character getting his hands on an item that makes you immune to magical weapons. Such combos are specifically written out of individual armybooks.
This should really have gone into the Campaign section- it will NEVER get traffic if nobody uses it. I won't move the thread just yet though, but you should really write up a campaign report or something. I was trying to breathe life into that section a little while ago.
This thread is now in the Campaign Section.
Feel free to come a try to revive traffic in this section of the boards, there are some cool ways to re-introduce weaker models. A scenario for exploding Foresaken for exmple, or Dragon Ogre Shaggoth that gains a wound when hit by lightning, perhaps even a Giant Chaos Spawn rampaging accross a field throwing up warriors in the air Cthulu-Style.
In any case consider this thread closed.
