Welcome to Librarium Online!
Okay i've finally gone and bought myself some WoC I purchased:
2x Battalion Box
1x Maruder Horsemen
And a bunch of paints and some green stuff (i'm an ozzie and buying it from the UK is SOOOO much cheaper than here even with international shipping) anyways couple of questions before it gets here and I dont turn on my computer again for awhile lol.
With the warrior models have you attached halberds and shield or hand weapons? What set ups do you guys have?
Because with my elves its never really been a problem but ive seen players who get titchy because their opponents models dont have what their army list says they have.
I also purchased with my order tiny neodinum magnets i was wondering has anyone drilled small hole on the arms and body and put these magnets in so you could change them on a whim?
And just any other general hints and tips at assembly you guys might have for me
Kind Regards and thanks in advance
I tend to ensure the front rank is correct, and the rear ranks are made from those "incorrectly" armed.
After all I do declare when I deploy, what they are / have.
I don't recommend using magnets, I think the contact area will be too small.
All my warriors have small neodymium magnets in their arms so I can choose any weapon configuration. The magnets are holding the arms adequately if you handle them carefully.
I found two setups that worked nicely on my warriors:
1. Hand weapon and shield combined with Mark of Tzeentch
2. Halberd and shield combined with either Mark of Khorne or Banner of Rage.
You can easily build halberd using an axe from the Warrior sprues combined with a spear from the marauder horsemen sprues. If you want great weapons just use the lances from the knight sprues (you need to shorten the bottom). I also recommend using the extra marauder horsemen heads on your foot marauders.

Halberds and Shields with Mark of Khorne all the way, 24 strength 5 attacks at I.5? Brutal.
okay thanks heaps especially predator. So the magnets work well? the arms dont droops kinda thing if weight is up the top i.e. halberds? But most appreciated
Woot for aussie players! And yeah, our prices are a real kick in the teeth, freakin' insane. $28 for 5 HE S.Guard?
If you're in melb I'd be happy to meet for a game at GW or something
What you're kitting your warriors with is probably going to depend on the style of the army (Khorne)/what else is in it.
I'm running HW and S. But I chose that because a) I'm running tzeentch and b) my knights hit hard enough to not really require halberds or gw on the warriors since they're usually just fighting infantry (skaven, skellies)
If someone helps you, rep them.
In a votewar you don't vote on a single match, you vote on the entire round. Got that?
I run a unit of each, but I have to say, the frenzied Halberd unit is a friggin' meatgrinder and no less.

Almost on subject: How do you guys feel about warriors with GW?
I know that they took a huge blow with 8th ed. since they now waste their otherwise great Initiative, but I think that they can still be justified against certain enemies. For example Dwarf warriors who are not likely to kill many with their str3 even when striking first and against whom the str6 would be a great help. Another example is dryads with I6 and T4.
I know I'm probably really fishing for the positive about these guys - perhabs because I'm painting a unit of them at the moment (yes yes - they were assembled BEFORE 8th ed. release).
On a completely different note, is the GW center in Copenhagen worth checking out?
