Welcome to Librarium Online!
So guys i was wondering what you would use to convert the following model for your WoC army.
-Talisman of Preservation
-Mark of Tzeentch
what models/bits make this guy easiest to make.
Also on a side note, as i am waiting for a delivery of my WoC miniatures (my first venture into the world of fantasy) do the warriors of chaos come with halberds in the box, or do they have to ordered seperatley?
thanks for your help guys...!
I have one and used this model: Champion of Chaos | Games Workshop
Cut off the right axe and gave him the Ogre Bulls standard. You could use various standard bits from other armies or just from your normal warriors, but i found that one to be a bit small for a BSB. Converted his left axe into a Halberd.
Paint him with some blue / gold or wash him blue and he should look totally tzeentchy
And regarding the side note: No. I cut the axes off at the top and inserted marauder standard bits to lengthen them and used some lances from the knight sprues to make them. See also other thread here just posted.
I just bought the metal Chosen Command group to use the standard as BSB. The rest of the models will make cool Exalted champs (the musician is a bit of a problem, but I plan to use him in a Warshrine).
Chaos Warriors Chosen Command | Games Workshop
The Standard bearer model has several eye-icons scattered around on his armour, which are perfect for a Tzeentch marked BSB, and he has a pretty large axe-thingy, which could go as a halberd.
Remember, by the way, that the heads on these guys are interchaneable, so if you dont like the one on the picture, no worries.
