    my god... she looks awesome
    ...
and that are a lot of chosen
haha costs for me are a bit to high to buy them all so i use fillers

got a question for the great sculptors in here
i just tried to make a mjolnir for my shaggoth i got for Christmas
but it's hard to make things smooth, or not to get your finger prints in it...
how do you all do it?
and i have some problems not to **** things up once they are in the shape i want
like green stuff parts that come loose, or pressing a bit to hard when just putting it down

and how long do you have to wait for it to be hard enough to do a next part?

    like furbyballer's banner...
i would undo most eyes by just trying to put those teeth on, not to mention the other teeth after trying to get the last one on...
or flattening the flag by doing the eyes or so
i just wonder how the hell you guys do it

do you use GW green stuff or other (and might be better) stuff?

lot's of respect for you guys out there

I am using "clay shapers" (or "colour shapers" their second name), firm ones, they help to produce smooth surface.
I am getting green stuff from TrollTrader, 72 inches for 11 pounds, and it felt somehow softer than GW one.
And you can mix a bit more GS than you really need and left remaining GS somewhere, so you can test its firmness without touching your work.

I use a sculpting tool, and a bit of water. I have to admit, I do most of my blending with my fingertips, but there are times that I have to break out the tools - those eyes would be a prime example. Another trick, you can get some softer tools in the cake-decorating section of most "old lady" craft stores. They're rubbery, more like a spatula, and it keeps you from smashing or gouging things quite as easily. I like them personally, they feel a little more natural than getting in there with the metal tools (which can feel like a damn scalpel).

I tidied things up a bit in here, not that it took much work. Those of you who are posting links to your pics will have them added to the library portion on the first page, the rest of you are just going to have to search through these pages to find your pics. I don't really see a reason to hyperlink to a page in this exact same thread.
I am not offering any comments regarding the Banner of the World Dragon at this time. For my thoughts on the situation, please refer to the following scene from vintage film: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYiv76qRCkA

Nice work! That thing looks really cool. I added the link to the entire album to the first post.

I'm guessing it's the metal Juggernaut, a greenstuff cauldron, some various WoC shields, the Pile of Skulls from the basing kit, brass rod, brass chain, and a marauder banner. What are the spikey bits coming out of the cauldron though? Marauder horsemen bits?

Mostly right. Big banner from minotaurs, green part is from out-of-production metal marauders, got original metal part for huge $12 from ebay. Pile of skulls is made from a blob of green stuff and packet of skulls, got 150 skulls from russian ebay seller, huge diversity of them and pretty high quality. Spiky bits are from "Chaos Tank Accessories" from CSM range.

Exactly. Got 2 of them from 5 attempts with instant mold. Tons of wasted green stuff that instant mold produces, unless you have straight hands.

Looks really good mate. 2 from 5 ain't bad considering how much $$ its saved you. I know Dan (on LO) has used thee instant moulds to great success. I might have to have a go myself.......... when I find something I need to mass produce. I'm still working my way through the old weight order stuff.

This is a wedding present for a mate of mine. It's to be his 'counts as' Kholek Suneater. The model stands 5 inches tall and weighs in at almost a kilo.

I need to add rivets by the way so he's not totally finished.
