Welcome to Librarium Online!
a few questions, some may look stupid or noobish but i am not that familiar with WoC yet
they can roll on the EotG table at the start of the game
can they re-roll a 2 and a 7 of a warshrine to?
and the text says that any roll afterward will erase the pre game roll... so the warshrine buff replaces the first one?
i do hope not and i do hope they can reroll stupidity and a 7 of a warshrine to but i am not sure so i thought I'll ask you guy's
this would make chosen super awesome!
almost always a 4+ WS and stubborn
You roll once on the EoTg table before the game start, and any roll of "Insanity" or "The eye is closed, are rerolled"
if you have a warshrine in your army, you can use it in your shooting phase to target at friendly unit within 12, that gets to roll on the EoTg table, no matter which you roll (could be insanity, stupidity etc. ) but dublicated gifts are rerolled, so if you rolled +1 attack in pre-game and you get the same result in your shooting phase with your warshrine, re-roll the result.
If you are unhappy with the result your warshrine blessed a unit with, then dont worry, you can cast another blessing in your next shooting phase either to bless the same unit again (or another unit if you desire.. ) this result will overrite the previous blessing your warshrine gave.

Now now lads. This is a forum about grown men playing with toy soldiers. Lets be adults please.
They can only re-roll 7 and 2 on their roll at the start of the game.
There are some combos you can use to gain much greater control of their results in general, most prevalent is letting the Champion carry the magic item Favor of the Gods while buying the Wailing Banner (it's from the core rulebook) for their Standard Bearer. This makes them cause Terror, so they'll re-roll 10 and 11, and Favor let's you adjust the result by one.. so you will potentially be able to re-roll a lot of times if you want on their first roll, they can try again until you roll 4 or 5, but those results are awesome anyway.
Warhammer Fantasy: Warriors of Chaos, High Elves
Warhammer 40k: Eldar, Space Marines, Orks
The roll at the beginning of the game also lasts for the duration of the game (or, more precisely, the duration of the unit in the game). For this roll ONLY you get to auto reroll "insanity" or "the eye is closed".
Any subsequent rolls because of a warshrine will stack up on top of that pre game roll unless you roll up something you already have. You cannot get double +1 toughness or double +1 attacks etc. So then you get to reroll the double up.
If you roll up something you don't like, such as "Insanity" or "The eye is closed" you can use the warshrine again next shooting round to overturn that with another roll. If you are using multiple warshrines on the same unit they also cannot have the same result, and you can't throw away the result from another warshrine to accommodate the roll of the second warshrine (I'm not certain that made sense?)
As mentioned above - giving the champion the "Favour of the Gods" item (a deal at only 5pts) you get to adjust your rolls by +/- 1 (including the pregame roll). You can combine this with the Wailing Banner to basically guarantee any result you want of the rolls but you don't have to and it does make your chosen a very pointy unit.
The best use of the Favor/Wailing combo that I've found, is to go with Halberds, Shields, and then boost for +1A. I've been running my Chosen with 2x HW, thinking I can just boost for +1S, but then I realized that if I had Halberds and Shields, I'd actually have a 3+ in combat, rather than my current 4+.
