Took first in our ard boyz preliminaries practice tournament with my Warriors of Chaos.
1st round Vs WoC - Major - 20 Points
2nd round Vs Daemons - Major - 22 Points
3rd round Vs Empire - Draw - 12 points
Things Id like to point out about the scenarios, holding units in reserve until you need them or to deny points in scenario 1 and 3 was a useful tactic. Also being able to see your opponent deploy his entire army first helps. Scenario 3 taught me to bunker what i could in my core units (because of the lighting strikes), and that it is very, VERY easy to force a draw because of the portal rule. If you and your opponent control the portal auto-draw, if no one has it auto-draw.

Im still gonna make minor tweaks for the real deal, like taking heavens for pushing people of the objective and nurgle for more survivability. I also saw some list that peole would nay say that were WoC, like Suneater and warriors with great swords (lots of warriors), and it was disgusting. Suneater pretty much didnt give two craps about the lightning in scenario 3.
Special addition, pictures.

Thanks for posting your list Hatchie,
Not the "stereotypical" WoC list that you generally see posted on the Interweb.
I imagine that Trogg and the Trolls have proved a handful?
OMG I can't believe the trolls. If I had to play this army I would just quit warhammer alltogether. =P
But in all seriousness, I'm skeptical of your ability to hold objectives. I suppose that really means me reading the rules for holding the objective. If it's about putting a unit on top of it and not moving, well ok you got something. but if it is about the # of units you can get close the objective (ie 6"), then you are in some trouble. Twice in the last tourney we took games by running cheap crap units up to the objectives on the last turn to contest them.
throgg was very useful, in fact Ive never had an instance where Throgg and friends haven't been.
Scenario 1 - They just murder things without flaming
scenario 2 - give em the blood soaked choppa and murder
scenario 3 - Held an objective for me.
The only scenario with objectives in the qualifiers in ard boyz is the 3rd one. and the only thing you need to do is get a character on it and be the only one claiming it for 500vp. So im not that worried about objectives at all. being able to counter deploy in scenario 1 and 3 really helps also. In my experience though, trolls being able to amass so many rolls on the EoGs table gets to be devastating, and to keep them safe, put out the fires .
