Welcome to Librarium Online!
Just wondering, do any of you use other models for your Chaos warriors? If so, what and where from?
I'm trying to build a small Cultist based Slaanesh force so don't want to go with the armour clad new school of warriors. I'd idealy like to get a whole unit of the OLD Slaanesh models but there just isn't enough of the originals kicking about. So something along their lines would be awesome.
So.......... help an old All Star out.
I suppose it would be possible to pull off the 'spacey' looking parts off 40K marines and use their bodies with fantasy heads - that could look quite cool if done correctly.
If I am doing a big battle and am running short on warriors, I have plenty of the original model with the axe and shield - they might not look the greatest, but they rank up beautifully and are quite robust minitures so unlikely to show up to battle missing an arm or head...

Would regular marauders be an option with replacement heads and various armor pieces? Maybe just Marauder legs with Knight torsos?.. hmmm... that might not look right
You could try making a mold from that original model, and casting them yourself. Should be plenty tutorials about.
I would buy as many originals as possible tho, and use those in the front rank.
Or convert some of the 40k Dark Eldar Incubi, should make some some awesome Slaanesh models.
Cheers for the suggestions. I found about 20 of the Goliath gangers in a box so I'll probably use those. The huge muscles, straps, chains crazy hair and dog collars look quite fitting for slaanesh. You think they'd pass for warriors? They've got a little bit of armour but not a great deal.
Now that isn't a bad idea thinking about it. The Marauder legs are pretty much spot on to the originals. All they'll need is some sculpted shin guards and straps moulded on. I'd have to completely sculpt the torsos though. Hmmmm I may do it in the long run but for now I'll stick use the models I have for now, I don;t have time to sculpt whole units lol.
I've seen some awesome conversions out of Dark Eldar stuff, really awesome. Not the theme I'm going for though to be honest but a good suggestion none the less As for casting, I'm not sure my Mrs would let me do that sort of thing........... I have a tendancy to destroy things about the house when I start such schemes.
maximus not be rude or anything, but its illegal to recast GW's models
I thought it was ok to cast up GW parts if it was for your own personal use? Casting GW minis and then selling them is a definite no no but I thought if it was just for you it was ok?
Not that I've ever done it mind but that was my understanding.
