Hey all, I am wondering what basecoats/drybrushes/washes you use to paint you khorne chaos warrior's armor... Could you help me out? It would be much appriciated.
Personally I like mine to be very dark, so I undercoat black - Scab red basecoat, badab black wash, highlight scab red and then wash again. Then hit all the metal areas with tin bitz. Alot of people have it alot lighter than that (all the way up to blood red) but its up to your preference I guess. I certainly find when painting other models that scab red is usually alot easier to get a uniform flat colour from than mechrite red is, even though mechrite is a foundation and scab just a normal paint. Its always worth experimenting on a spare part you haven't used first!

I just can't help it, the are followers of Khorne, so I must use the paint with the word blood in its name. I start with an undercoat of black, mechrite red on all the armour, then a nice heavy wash of badab black. After this i built it up to mechrite red again, edge highlights of blood red and I also did some stipling of blood red on the armour plates.
There is actually a step by step guide to painting khorne warriors on the GW website which is good to follow.
