Does anyone really bother marking their warshrines? MoT seems to be the only one worth bothering with to get that 3+ ward save, just wondering if maybe I'm missing something? How do you run yours?
Sorry if there is already a thread devoted to this, I'm trying to search for it but I'm on my phone at work so it's a bit hard
If I mark it at all, Slaanesh.
The toughness, armor and ward are sufficient as is, I have no need to up that.
But Slaanesh on the other hand, immunity to fear and panic can save your behind.
You wouldn't know the times I failed a fear/panic test (yes even with a re-roll).
Nah, once I have the gift I want, I don't really care for that ability.
It is actually a beast in combat, great as a supporter or anvil. High toughness and incredible saves means it probably will not get a wound.
I usually deploy one on the flank of a regiment, nothing fast and light is going to go through it. Even Knights will have trouble with a Shrine.
you can throw gifts out if its in combat, nowhere does it say you cant
theyre awesome for tarpitting things, but they lose on combat res vs big units with high static CR
Ohh come on! it's chaos, everything is meant to get into combat!
and they're pretty good at it too. as fore the main topic: dont bother giving it a mark. Tzeetch can fun to bolster it's save to make it even harder. And slaanesh can be usefull too. But khorne and nurgle are unnecesary and pointless.

MOT is a must for me. I built my warshrine and it looks scary and intimadating and draws enemy fire. a 4+ armour 3+ ward is great for drawing fire. I have used one to draw out fanatics as well with it not taking a wound. Also great for holding up small calvary units and in support.
Mine varies list to list. I've never put MoK or MoN on it, but MoT or MoS sure, it just depends on what I can squeeze in. Its generally something I leave till last
