Daemons of Chaos
Orcs & Goblins
I want to start a second army but can't decide which one to pick
so i like to know what armies you have aside from WoC and why you play them.
what army should be fun to play along side WoC or is just completely different
i only fear i will be disappointed in the army cause WoC rocks!
I'm not in search for a specific strong or an easy army to paint
just something that's fun to play and looks good
i won't mind losing as long it's fun and i won't die easily (finished in 1 or 2 rounds )
i can't pick cause i think everything has it's value and his coolness, but maybe someone can change a few point of views to me
but i probably won't start with DE or DoC cause a good friend plays them and i want something else than him
so pls help me out a bit guys
thx in advance
my god what was happening , it seemed i couldn't post and now it's posted 3 times
(but without the requested poll, can i still add it? )
can an admin delete the other 2 so if ppl reply it's only on 1 cause it seems i can't delete it... :s
EDIT: found the poll adder

A shadows magic based Lizardmen army.
ie, a Slann moving and Shadow Steeding around on his own (instead of the Light or Life Slann in a block of TG's).
Oh, wait, thats what I want.
You should probably not start a new army just for the sake of starting a new army, in my experience this does not turn out successful.
Just wait for an inspirational moment where you realize army X is really something you wanted to do for a long time.
Or wait till a new cool army gets out.
My plan is to re-start with Woodelves once they come out.
Until then, I'm fine with my WoC.
but sometimes i just want something else then WOC
I voted Orcs and Goblins because they were my first army and are good/fun all round, easy to paint (lots of green ).
You cant play a game with them and it not be fun, I guarantee that fun will be had!
personally I would say empire. You can pretty much tailor an empire army against anything, with lots and lots of varity.
Access to all the spell lores from the rulebook, lots and lots of diffrent units. Definatly my favorite army when not playing WoC personally =)

Now now lads. This is a forum about grown men playing with toy soldiers. Lets be adults please.
I myself voted for Tomb Kings as I am collecting tomb kings now. Gonna paint them really well and prob use the crimson king colours ,ie blacks, reds and silvers + i'll prob build a shooty / fast moving, hard hitting army since all the new stuff came out, might be a good idea
any thoughts on VC?
I had a pretty large orcs/gobbos and empire army that I actually had started because of the 6th edition. It's been forever since then and all those models are gone now ... which stinks because I had some seriously good stuff that would cost alot of money now. So even though I love empire and like orcs/gobbos I just can't convince myself to purchase that which I had already owned and lost when moving three times.
So I actually have plans to start a Beastman army, even though my WoC army is so small and young compared to most ... all ... of you. I plan to get my WoC to 1600 pts and then get a Beastmen to 1600 pts. This way I can try and get others to play warhammer (potentially started their own armies) and I can get more people to play against.
Well if i were to make a new army, i would most definently go for The Empire. Its easy to play, its got great varity, and some of the best magic items ingame. Also you can tailor it to beat any army you choose, and on top of that you can choose any magic lore you want from the rulebook. Not bad i think. Also warrior priests in 8th edition just owns any characters and are almost insanely cheap 90 points to get hatred for a unit + 1 dispel dice.. well thats a bargain. not to talk bout their prayers too (00). Of course theres a lot of core troops to be painted up first, but as soon as uve got those 100 halberdiers finished the rest is gonna be fast ;o)
Anyways good luck choosing your army and i hope this input helps a bit.
