I was just wondering what your views are on this item
To me it seems pretty good, if not a bit expensive but the ability to make all units within 6" stubborn to me just seems awesome
I was thinking of putting this guy in a small unit of marauders with MOS and then having 3 units of warriors in front of him (1 with nurgle and extra weapon, 1 tzeencth chosen unit with shields and 1 khorne unit with halberds)
also does as he causes terror does he not pass it on to the unit so you could deploy him in a chosen unit, giving them terror and then at the start of ur turn just jump him into the marauders behind
I have never used it before but thinking of using it
Too expensive...and rather than planning to lose combat (by paying through the nose for stubborn), you should be ensuring that you win...

6" is too small a range, unfortunately. You give it a range of 12" and it would be worth a look.

If I really want stubborn on a unit then I'll grab the Crown of command for a considerably lower cost the the Banner of the Gods. The Banner is stupidly expensive for what you get. Especially seeing as you now have the Steadfast rule.
Even when the Banner was good it's carried by a model with no decent protection. The best he will have is a 3+/5++ and he will die fairly quickly to normal infantry. Plus, when do we usually loose combat? If we do then stubborn wont usually make a difference as anything that can smack us that badly means we're going to die or our unit is less than a rank in number and wont be around much longer anyway.
Plus, 6 inches is pretty hard to keep multiple units in range of.
First - he doesn't transfer his Terror to the unit, so you can't use him in place of the Wailing Banner. This is why we can't also use the Terrifying Mask of Eee! or the Shrieking Blade or whatever it's called. Plus, the Eye goes by the unit's stats, if the Unit doesn't cause Terror, you can still gift it to them. The guy toting the Wailing is a permanent part of the unit, that's why it works.
Second - I'm not saying that you cheat or anything, but you do know that you measure the 6" from the BSB right? Not the unit he's in? I've seen people do that sort of thing with other banners, and were amazed at how worthless those banners suddenly became when they found out they had to measure directly to the banner. 6" isn't much to work with (and don't let your girlfriend tell you otherwise either, )
Third - Wayy too expensive. You have to look at in terms of how much you're putting into the whole setup, not just the banner. You are paying for an Exalted BSB to carry the flag, you're losing out on all of his magic item allowance, which means that you want to keep him out of combat, (for me, this also means that I'm losing out on a caster with +2 to cast and 3rd Eye, because I book my BS. Once that's done, you paying for a Marauder unit that is also staying out of combat, because they're puppyguarding the guy with the flag.
By the time you factor in how many points you're dedicating to making sure that you have a 6" Stubborn bubble, you could probably buy each of those three units another rank of Warriors, or give them gear to help them win the fight in the first place.
Besides, Rapturous Banner and the Crown of Command work well enough for me, when I need to stay in a fight. Although I prefer the Charlie Sheen method of just "Winning" to ensure I don't fail my Break tests.
