How do you model Great weapons on marauders. I can only see Flails on the frame.
You take the flail arms and you clip off the top of the flail, save those bits they are pretty cool for the horses and such, after that you take the axe heads and clip those off then you glue the head to shaft and marauder arms on there you go, Great weapon marauders
Smart. I was worried I would have to raid my Knights frame which I need for my Green Knight conversion.
It becomes daunting after a bit! But you will find your second wind trust me! and it's completely worth it in the end! If it wasn't would I have modeled 100 marauders with GW so far!?
i have almost 50 of the old metal marauders and I'm converting them with some of the old warrior halberd axe heads, and any White lion/phoenix guard heads I can find (turned upside down they have a very nasty look to them. Filling down/off the silly elvish patterns isn't too hard.
I think that the lack of provision of GW sprues makes it a great project for any general. You can customize the look of your unit like no one else.
Just did this with 32 Marauders. Clip off flail heads, clip off axe/pickaxe heads, glue onto flail staves.
So...how does one model light armour on Marauders?
Shoulder pads, and maybe a cape.
Not planning to in the near future, but just wondering. The pauldrons they come with seem to be a bit too...useless to function as a suit of light armour, heh. Just curious, didn't ask for the point-efficiency of doing so.
