I've only really recently started playing Woc and have gotten a few games with them under my belt now. I generally play with what I think is a "Standard" WoC army. Mainly being blocks of core and characters.
My question is; What other ways are there to play warriors of chaos? Can we make cavalry lists, monster lists etc?
If anyone could point me in the direction of these lists it would be most appreciated.
all cav is possible but not really the best option in 8th edition.
We can make a 100% monster list with the use of throgg. this is both my favorite and one of the more powerful special builds.
There is also fluff-themed lists, usually surrounding a particular god and the builds focusing on that god's items.
As mentioned above, Throgg + a bunch of Trolls makes for a good monstrous list to break the monotony. All-Cavalry is possible, but not necessarily desirable.
What im going to try is, a Khorne lord, and two khorne exalted's and match them up in a single unit, that unit ends up getting 10 strength 7 attacks, 17 strength 5, + 3 stomps, crazy wound allocation shenanigans so a character unit with supporting marauders or warriors kinda fun, all on juggers >.>

An interesting list I've seen and that won a tournament had 4 disc riders, and that alone would seriously throw off an opponent.

That's the sort of thing I'm looking for. "off the beaten track" sort of lists.
I do like trolls I think they are really good with Throgg. I suspected an all cavalry list wouldn't be as viable in 8th but just tossing around ideas really.
Anyway anymore ideas as always are greatly appreciated.
all out marauder list
swarm your enemy!!

Now now lads. This is a forum about grown men playing with toy soldiers. Lets be adults please.
With the current WoC book, pretty much every build/theme you can come up with is competitive as long as you choose hero and unit configurarions with care.
Maybe go magic heavy? We have the power familiar, blood of tzeencth and conjoined homunculus and third eye that will help you get the most out of your phase, plus the puppet to protect against accidents. Maybe run a sorclord and two sorcs to get it all in. Should be very fun to field!

I've taken full character allocation in mages and take the skull of katam. Put em all in a unit of marauders and just sit back and blast away.
I've been doing some google searching for various army builds and one that crops up a lot if "Chosen-Star". I'm familiar with what death stars are but is this an actual list?
