If you get a manticore, make sure you put the right mane pieces on otherwise your lord will not sit right on his saddle. I just spent the last few hours remodeling the mane with a scalpel so that the rider fits the pieces may look the same but they are not!!!
I should probably elaborate a little, there are 2 mane sections, then the head. if you want a saddle it is on the 1st mane piece and there is another 1st mane piece without it. then there are two different 2nd mane pieces which look very very similar but one is intended for use with the saddle piece and the other is not. The one that is not does actually fit, and everything appears to be normal right up to the point where you try to put the rider on his saddle and he just doesn't fit.
So if you rush into building things without really looking at the instructions too much, like I do, be careful when you make a manticore

Another warning. Chaos knights - when putting the rider in the saddle make sure he's sitting straight. You really have to squeeze those guys in there with all their chains and crap they have. I guess the way I was holding the models they looked fine from the side, but now they're all tilted to the left a little.
... if anyone asks... it was intentionally, they're in ATTACK MODE.
no offence korpacz but I can not even fathom how you could have put a knight on a horse wrong. why didn't you just put it on straight? i dont understand
Because you can make dramatic leaning foreward lance knights!
Or don't glue the riders on . I put the wrong mane because I didn't know GW put the instructions for the rider build on the other side -___-, but thats not the problem with mine, the wings are getting in the way for some reason so hes hovering over his seat .

One shall stand, and one shall fall.
I also think its weird how the wings have two thumb-spike things on each wings. Im thinking of cutting one down to make it shorter. but yeah, that mane, it has so many similar pieces its easy to screw it up if you dont take note of the numbers on the sprue
