http://www.librarium-online.com/foru...-forsaken.html (if a proverbial gun was put to your head......: Forsaken)
Here's a thread on just that topic.
Fear me, mortals, for I am The Anointed, The Favored Son of Chaos, The Scourge of the World. The armies of the Gods rally behind me, and it is by My Will and by My Sword that your weakling nations shall fall. - Archaon, The Everchosen, Lord of the End Times
Guess thats a no then due to the rest of what we have in the book, still could be half tempted to a unit of 10, will have to mock a few army lists out first
I think it's Lord Borak that likes to run them regularly and will attest that they have their uses. He'll probably resond to this thread once his nurse is finished with his spounge bath.
I guess one thing in their favour is that they have no upgrade options available, so it is not easy to get all carried away like you can with warriors (what with extra equipment, marks and banners) and be able to field a relatively cheap unit of them on the flanks.
They just needed a little something else to make them really good though - being unbreakable would have been quite appropriate since they are half way to being chaos spawn, and I am sure that they would suddenly have become a far more common choice.
Not enough money in the world to make me take on that job...Originally Posted by talismanictattoo

At least I HAVE a pretty Nurse to give me a Sponge bath
Aye Forsaken are ok. They're not 'Teh Uberz' (see, I can speak young) but they're a handy little flanky unit. They're a middle ground between Horsemen and Knights. That's it really but everything else has been said in the other Thread
They're awesome to convert up though.
Haven't had much luck with them myself as they tend to get shot to hell before they do anything. For their points, I'd want a little more out of them.... perhaps making them skirmishers? At least it might make it a little bit easier to get across the table with what is usually a pretty small unit because of the pts.
That being said, I used the old warriors and kitted them up with the chaos mutations. I also partially melted them by half dipping in acetone. After painting, they look very disfigured and corroded. Just can't overdo the acetone tho! And a good thorough rinse or you'll simply end up with a bunch of puddles.
