Welcome to Librarium Online!
I want a fluffy build for this guy. A friend painted it for me and I'm trying to find good builds.
I figure Armor of Damnation/ Mark of Nurgle / Chaos Runesword would work. WS9, -1WS to hit and you reroll all hits.
Could bust out an item from the never used item list: Skin-Hidden Plate. Give him the Ogre Axe and he could work.
Skin hidden plate and the ogre blade would be fluffier, but your first build would be way more effective. Slap the Favor on there, if it's not already being used by chosen or something, and you're good to go. And I think that the Palanquin would be a Good buy as well. You can make a pretty simple version of it by getting some nurglings, and putting the character's base in the middle. Heck, you can even magnetize it at that point so you can take him off if you want
Nice Paint job on a nice model So, equipment eh?
Preservation....... Because he's a Lord and Lords tend to be liked by their Patrons.
Glittering Scales. Ok so he's not very glittering but consider the -1 to hit a sort of Uber MoN. Plus, he is half naked which explains the light armour.
Glaive of Putrefaction....... If it sounds like A Nurgle weapon........... It probably is.
Potion of Foolhardiness....Consider it a Gut Charge impact hit type thing.
Acid Blood & Stream of Corruption............ need you ask?
That makes a dude with 6 str5 attacks on the charge with the glaive. With a str3 breath weapon if he needs it. The enemy are at -1 to hit and at -1WS and you're T5 with a 4+ Ward. Go get 'em girl.
I like this combo for my lord of late:
Collar of Khorne
Helm of Many Eyes
Stream of Corruption
He is weaker on the defense, but 6 str 6 attacks with re-rolls to hit most of the time, very little will be standing after a few rounds of combat.
I also like to run him in a unit with the banner of rage, for yet another attack. also remember that the collar of khorne grants the MR to the unit, another bonus to this guy.
Fluffy? whats that?
here are some items/gifts that seem very nurgley
Blasphemous amulet - his infectious diseases can kill you at a distance
Crimson armour of dargan - he is body is too bloated and corrupted to be felled by a single stroke.
Sword of change - any wound caused quickly mutates the body and mind of the victim.
Acid ichor - reflects the poisons runing through his veins
Stream of corruption - read the description, it says it all.
"The Flying Phlegm"
"The Country Blow"
"The Snot Rocket"
"The Booger Bomb"
"The Snort of Nurgle"
"The Sloppy Sneeze"Think of it this way. He ain't much more expensive than a Beastmen Monster and he has an armor save to boot!Code:Unit Name ## Mv WS BS St To Wo In At Ld Sv WSv Cp Dp US Cost Chaos Lord of Nurgle 1 4 8 3 5/6 5 3 7 5 9 2+ In 370.0 Mark of Nurgle; Enemies targeting a model are -1 to hit from shooting, -1 WS in CC; Shield Arabyan Carpet Infantry and Monstrous Infantry gain Flying special rule, cannot join units. Necrotic Phylactery Model immune to Poison Attacks; immune to spells from lore of Death or Nurgle; Passes all characteristic tests except LD Dragonhelm Armour save is better by 1, 2+ ward save against fire attacks Sword of Might +1St Bloodcurdling Roar Ranged attack made during shooting phase, LOS, Rng 12", 2D6 Str 1 Hits no armour save Stream of Corruption One Use Only; Str 3 Breath weapon -1 to armour save

I would suggest grabing the halberd instead of the Sword of Might. Same effect.
...except that the halberd does nothing against ethereals. Not the strongest argument in favor of SoM, but it's an argument...
IG since 1999 __ DA since 2002 __ Tau since 2005 __ SoB since 2007
Brets 1997-1999 __ TK since 2009 __ Empire since 2010
Sword of might gives him his shield still.
But he dosent have a shield... The Etheral argument works though but I prefer Knights for that.
