    Bump!

    I'm just bumping the thread, generally. NOTHING'S HAPPENING!

    *Sigh*

    Gimme something to reply to, people - anything at all!

    OK.

    I set you and all those who read this a challenge.
    Search the Internet and find a non-GW miniature that would rock socks in your army, then post a link.

    Here's mine:

    Chaos Sorceress | Freebooter Miniatures

    Chaos sorceress. Looks awesome, and not just because of the boobage.

    Most things on this page. Mostly, though, the Great damned one of wrath (middle of the page)

    Good call. I have a lot of these.
    I got Samael as a Tzeentch Sorcerer, Foulques as a Nurgle sorcerer, Grand Damned de la Colere as a 'Big Gribbly evil thing' and Bran Carnoths starter box for more gibs.

    I aquired them up when I heard Asmodee was discontinuing the range and didn't know if it would be picked up by any gaming companies.

    Game Zone do quite a lot of stuff I rather like:

    Chaos Sorcerers

    Game Zone | Chaos Sorcerer 1

    Game Zone | Chaos Sorcerer 2

    Chaos Warhounds

    Game Zone | Chaos Warhound 1

    Game Zone | Chaos Warhound 2

    Game Zone | Chaos Warhound 3

    I
    'm looking for alternatives to run in my army as Trolls and Hellcannons at the moment. If anyone has thoughts, I'd appreciate it.

    For Trolls so far the front-runners are Game Zone's Orc Trolls; Forgeworld's Skin Wolves and Bile Trolls; or Games Workshop River Trolls.

    For Hellcannons, I've considered some of the Forgeworld Chaos Dwarf machines, but I'm not entirely sold on them. Pyrovores seem a common suggestion, too, but I don't think they're quite big enough for the look I want.

    @MightisRight

    Have you used these? How big is Zaaxan compared to our troops? I'd imagine he's way too big for a 25mm base but how about a 40mm? Just wondering if you've seen these first hand.

    I just bought my wife a mini-van, the gods of Chaos have nothing on reality.

    @el_don

    No actually, my friends and I create alternate characters for our games and he would fit nicely into a new character that I'm working on. But that depends on just how large he is. If he's comparable to say, a troll, then that would be ideal.

    It's not non-GW, but it is non-WFB. I despise the troll models that we have available to us, so I'm going to use six LoTR trolls for my warriors army. Expensive, but gorgeous.
