Im starting a chaos nurgle army. Im a little torn as what i should take.... Im not asking for an army list, but what are good units that i should always take and what numbers. I know its up to playing style, but Im new to nurgle and dont know if plaugebearers and the unclean ones are good choices or not. Well thanks for any help.
"Inspired by the most logical race in the galaxy, the Vulcans, breeding will be permitted once every seven years. For many of you this will mean much less breeding, for e, much much more." -- Comic Book Guy
Plague bearers are pretty decent. Use them in small squads as flankers to add the cloud of flies rule to your combat,or attrition units in squads of 20 to slowly break down your opponent. I play nurgle personaly and although i dont use mortals here are some tips:
1. Dont put mark of nurgle on warriors. They are so expensive already, they will be in small squads, meaning not only will fear make them yet MORE expensive but wont be used to its full effect
2.Take heros w/ only 1 or 2 mages. Our heros can take on most lords with the +1 wound(exhalted champs that is)
3.Great unclean ones suck. Movement 4 means your opponent will avoid them to no end. I cannot see them ever making their points back really
Minotaurs! Nurgle minotaurs are the best. They get a 4+ save and great weapons, and really cheap too.
I've got a question for the nurgle player. Does the extra wound from the mark increase the US of a doombull of nurgle? It would then have US 5.
asquabbling they squandered and gambled
till dawn did freeze their drunken dice
i dont believe so.
