I've heard a lot of people say this weapon is rubbish. I took it in a 2000 point game against O&G and took out Wurrzag and a giant with this weapons awsome ability thats like 700 points.

Has anybody else used the weapon? What did you think?

against orcs a hellfire sword is great because orcs do not have good armour saves, however veses anyrace with decent armour the hellfire sword would have trouble getting that all important first wound.

I thought this sword had no AS against it, or is that against the extra wounds? If it's against the future wounds, i'm confused... don't you save vs the initial wound only?

Should mean that you're going to wound vs. any army. Especially with the high strength /ws lord. But 75 points... ick. I'd rather have a great weapon & helm of many eyes so he's fast and removes most armor saves.

It sounds like it would be useful against Ogre kingdoms as the high strength and weapon skill should get a wound in and then multiply it up. Could be very useful indeed.

I'd rather have a hero with the rending sword I guess. Give a lord something else.

Really depends on enemies and who you want your Lord to kill. For challenging Most other Lord units, Helm of Many eyes and Great weapon.

To Kill Multiwound models (Giants Dragons Ogres), Hell Fire can do well but stilll the G weapon Helm of many eyes can be preferable.

Its ok, but with S 5 wounding in the first place cann get hard on those Multi wounds.
