My army consists of
Archaon : very high points cost but so far in the battles i have had with him he has earnt his right to be in my army.
aspiring champion of khorne on barbed chaos steed
aspiring champion of khorne on foot
20 khorne warriors with great weapons and sheilds
4 knights of chaos (swords of chaos) my aspring champion goes into this unit to give it some extra punch
12 marauders wtih flails light armour and sheilds
i usualy fight VC and Khemri, but my mate has a 3000pt empire army, and my friend with khemri will soon expand to 3000pts so i need to be able to crush them.
my usual tactic is kinda easy which is to basicaly storm towards the enemy and crush them in the first 2 ropunds of combat, but i think that may become harder as the points increase
what should i get next, and should i change my already existing army?
You really haven't thought this through very well have you?!
That army you've listed is nearly 2000 points, and it's only got three units in it! And small units at that. You need to seriously rethink how you choose your army, read some of the other threads about army lists and get some ideas. To cut the story short you need lots more decent sized units and a lot less expensive special characters!
And finally;That's not really a tactic is it?... :hmm:Originally posted by draken_thor21@Mar 16 2005, 19:52

"Peace, through superior firepower."
so for a two thousand point army do u think i should get rid of archaon, and just tool up a lord a bit. But the problem is i dont know what else to get to make my army more balanced...
You might want to think of letting go of Archaon. What I've learded from fighing VC is to take smaller units and exalted champs. Aspiring just don't cut it in many battles. And I used to think that really big units of warriors were great, But when I started to fight VC and Tomb Kings I dropped that idea.
Now fro Tombkings it isn't hard to devistate. just take 2 units of 12 warriors and 2 units of knights, fill the rest by makeing some chosen and throw in some specials. just be sure not to only charge up, you do have to target units so you can over run into others. If you can find a good list you won't looses too often. I've only lost twice to TK or mabye it was once?
I have never beat VC but Ive come close. If your fighting the SoC slyvannia list you just might be screwed, If its a normal army you might have a chance. All I can really say is stay away from the Grave Guard, unless you can get them from the side or back. if you charge the front chances are you are not going to get rid of enough of them in the first round. The black knights just charge and kill. but if you are playing slyvannia you have lots of small units to blow through. I've never seen a VC army lose, but then again I've only seen the slyvannia list. Also If the VC general is good, he'll try to get rid of your dispel dice quick so he can get more skellies on the feild. try to learn the spells he uses so you know which ones are useful for you to dispel. Smart dispeling is a very useful tool that khorn players can use.
I hope thats useful advice. I like fighing TK but I wouldn't mind fighting VC if I had the chance. mind you chances are you'll be overpowered by turn 3.

2000pts Skaven 0/4/0 I'll get there enventually
