Sorry for this stupid question but while I was making my army in the army builder I noticed it lets my warriors weild a 2nd weapon and a shield. Am I allowed to do this? If so does this take away the extra +1 to my save in CC or something? :hmm:
Also, does this affect my lord differently because he is holding a halberd and a shield.
Thanks for any help!!
You can equip them with both, but can only use either a hand weapon and shield (better armour save) or two hand weapons (+1 attack) when you get to close combat, your choice.
Moving to Chaos forum...
The iron crowned is getting closer,
Swings his hammer down on him,
Like a thunderstorm he's crushing,
Down the Noldor's proudest king.
Under my foot, so hopeless it seems.
You've troubled my day, now feel the pain.

Thanks for the help.
I have another question though and didn't feel it was necessary for a new post.
For Violet Fire can I target a character in combat (it doesn't say I can't). Also, in terms of what I can target, can I target a regular leader of a unit (ie. champion of a squad of warriors), and can I target a regular model that is not a character?
you can cast it on a character in combat ,If you see him
it says target enemy character so i think you can only target enemy characters.
besides why use this spell on unit leaders.
You can only target an enemy character with Violet Fire. That means and enemy Lord, Hero (including wizards of course) or Special Character. You can't target unit champions because they are not characters as such.
On a side note, violet fire isn't really worth keeping if you roll it. Read the spell carefully again and you'll notice that the chances of actually getting it to work are so slim it's hardly worth trying. :hmm: First you have to cast it (tough enough with it's high casting cost), then you have to hope that it isn't dispelled (and lets be honest, what player isn't going to try and save their character?!, then the character has to fail a leadership test. As most worthwhile target characters have a high leadership of at least 7 or 8, this is also unlikely.
Plus, of course, since the sorcerer has to be able to see the target, there won't be many chances to try and get this spell off.
So it might work once.
If you're lucky.
Very, very lucky...
In short, swap it for Red Fire.
