ok I was thinking that specifically for taking out any cavalry unit we go with something like this-
Unit of 8 chosen knights of Slaanesh with Rapturous Banner (banner weakens target extensively and knights take the full frontal assault)
next flank on either side with a unit of 8 Marauder Horsemen with flails (str 5 combined with fast cavalry makes for multiple supplementary charges that allow you to hammer away at your opponantes unit)
I think its pretty decent but I'd like some suggestions or anything else you guys wanna say.
I play an undivided army with 1 regiment of chosen khorne warriors with great weapons, simply to deal with cavalry

Don't get me wrong, that infantry unit can kill pretty much anything, specially imrik and his friggen dragon. damn i felt good when they killed that.
Chosen warriors with gw and shield have 3+ save, losing the extra save in cc due to gw and str6. thats -3 to armor save, 2 attks due to chosen, 3 for champion. I take a khorne unit for 3 attacks each due to frenzy and 4 for champ. Thats 13 str 6 attacks. Easily eats through cavalry and infantry. The only thing that holds us up as chaos is the inability to upgrade our knights with lances or spears. Could you image a unit of chosen khornate knights with lances on the charge!? 16 strength 7 attacks!!! with a 1+ save!!!
Chosen with great weapons only have a 4+ save due to their chaos armour. You cannot use a shield at the same time as you use a two handed weapon. If they had hand weapons and shields though, they'd have a 2+ save (chaos armour 4, shield +1, hand weapon +1, total 2+)...
But yes, chosen of Khorne with great weapons are very scary indeed, but also incredibly expensive! For a unit of just 16 with full command, I make it 427 points!!! :eek:
There's a reason why chaos knights don't have the option of lances, because they're strength five to start with! That's already the same strength as knights of anyone elses race. Cavalry spears would be cool though... :huh:

yea so why is it my friends dark elves get way more items than they can carry? (i.e. I think his dark riders or something, get like shields, hand weapons, spears, and repeater crossbows) and I mean as in they start off with them not he upgraded them with the stuff! does he like get to charge or shoot with lances or crossbows and then switch to shields, and hand weapons in ccOriginally Posted by Tzeentch_Lord
Dark Riders can't have either shields or lances... they can have spears, repeater crossbows, and light armor. Also, once you start a combat with one weapon, you have to stick with that weapon. The only time you can switch weapons is with Bretonnians, who can charge with a normal lance and then switch to a magical weapon in any combat round after.Originally Posted by stezerok846

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, even if it's wrong.
You do get the armour save for having a shield, once in combat when the weapon needs to be used you get no bonus. having a shield does increase your armour save while marching through arrow fire.
Sounds fairly cut and dry to me.
