What are peoples opinions of a slaanesh daemon army.
points / effectiveness ratio?
troop choices etc
There's a girl (yes this is correct) that plays a mostly slaanesh deamon army. It is based around the cult of slaanesh, but pretty much its all daemons. She is actually one of the most successful players (win wise) and loves to play them. They have their disadvantages i.e force them to take armor save and they die. But the advantage of a very fast army with big blocks of daemon seems to work, plus it has the potential to be a magic power house. really nicely painted too.
I'd do one if I had the cash, and the time.
40K-Beakies(9-14-4),Guard(4-7-2),Orks(34-12-11). FANTASY-Dwarves(15-6-7),Beasts (14-14-1), Skaven (17-17-10) DoC (6-1-2). CYGNAR (28-15-1)
There are quite a few differences between a Daemon-heavy Cult and the Legion.
First and foremost, you will have less characters. AFAIK, Heralds can't be Generals, and thus all your General-eligible characters are at least 2 slots. Then again, even a "lowly" Exalted Daemon is nearly a Chaos Lord (which, unfortunately, is shown in the cost...)
Your magic will be less effective, seeing that, unless one goes Tzeentch (Prince&2 Heralds=8 levels, plus any Horror Champions), your magic won't be that effective (Prince&Exalted=6 levels, plus any Horror Champions)
Then, in a Daemonic Legion, one has Pleasureseekers and Chariots of Slaanesh in addition to just Daemonettes (mounted& on foot).
Use Light, Beasts, Metal instead of Heavens
NecroLords: Use at least one Death Mage
Brets: Use Peasants&Damsels
Skaven: Don't use Skryre SAD
