i was looking at some of the items in the magics items when i saw the "pendant of slaanesh" which everytime you loss a wound you gain an attack. but then i saw "crown of everlasting conquest" which gives you reganeration. But since regenerations at the end of combat wouldnt that mean you can the attack but still have a chance to get your wound back.
Not too sure on this, but since you would gain that wound back, you could loose that attack.
This loop would only be infinit if you make all your regeneration rolls that is.
You do get to keep the attack(s), even if you manage to regenerate the wound(s) at the end of the combat phase. But since regeneration only gives you a 50% chance of getting a wound back, the lord will only get a few extra attacks before he eventually dies. It's a nice idea, but it isn't really that effective (deliberately so) and the points could probably be better spent elsewhere (like on a magic weapon that gives extra attacks).
"Peace, through superior firepower."
Shame you wouldn't have enough points to give him the rending sword (or whatever one it is that gives a wound back if you pass a strength test after you cause a wound). That way when you lose a wound you gain an attack, you then have a chance to regenerate the wound and for every wound you cause you have a 5 in 6 chance of getting an additional wound back. Now that would be a bent combination.
Helper monkey, bring me beer and donuts
That's been around for a long time .You gain an attack for taking a wound - just because the wound has been healed doesn't mean the wound wasn't inflicted in the first place. Not too sure on this, but since you would gain that wound back, you could loose that attack.
Oh, and max number of attacks is 10...

Right, you have worked out a prospective scenario for infinite attacks and your wondering whether it's within the legal?
It's like asking whether on a million dollars earned you'd need to pay tax. You don't need to crunch numbers or analyse anything, the math is pretty obvious.

True, it has been around for ages, but as far as I know, there is no maximum number of attacks a model can have. If you look on pg 38 of the rulebook, it specifically states when a characteristic has minimum and maximum numbers. Attacks and wounds for example have no upper limit (unless this has changed and no-one's told me... <_< )Originally Posted by Rork

Using the Blade of Blood and the Pendant of Slaanesh would give you a better chance of surviving, and its cheaper.
The blade of blood allows you to take a strength test for every wounding hit (before saves) you make.
Since all Chaos Champions are at least strength 5 you'll only fail the test on a 6, and you'll get a wound back for every test passed to a maximum of double your original wouds.
Plus if you fail the strength test you'll get another attack anyways because you lose a wound from failing the strength test. OUCH!!!!! >:-D

you take wounds - you gain attacks (WITH NO MAX CAP)
you attack, and kill them, pass a strength test you gain wounds up to DOUBLE your starting.
thats a 6 wound killing machine
and just to a previous poster
the item states "for every wound taken, after armoursaves/wardsaves etc" no mention is given about losing attacks when regaining wounds in anyway
give him the SoSlaanesh - get him into combat asap and keep him there!
