Welcome to Librarium Online!
what is your opinion about these guys?
how many do you field in 2000 pts and how do you equip them. and how do you use them?
im likely to field 5 with musician and thr. axes, and shields.
then they have a little save of 5+ and with the musician I can shoot with them, flee, rally(hopefully) and then shoot again
Give them flails. S5 fast cavalry can give your opponent a nasty shock.IIRC, fast cavalry can only move, not shoot, after they have rallied.Originally Posted by And

if u want to keep the shields, u can give them spears and have an added 1S on the charge. i personally use them as a flankers and to take care of war machines or lone characters. with a S4 or S5 they can usually take care of what i need in the first round of comabt, either inducign a flee or killign enough of the crew as where the machien cant fire any longer. i dunno the need for the msucian in that case tho because ususally tit doesnt coem down to combat resooulution agaisnt the machines and when flankign the main unit im attackign with already has a musician. if u give them ne command give them a unit champion so u get the extra attack in that first round with the higher strength
If you have lots of magic you could use them to go round the back and slow the enemy down while you kill them with all your magic. They could also throw axes/spears at the enemy. Or you could just send them warmachine hunting.
The musician is there for rallying after you have voluntarily fled from a charge, which is one of the most useful roles for fast cavalry, that +1 to rally for a musician can make a big difference.Originally Posted by fingerbang
