Right now I've got a pretty sizeable and intimidating army, except for when facing dwarves. I can take the slayers, I can manage the magic, but one thing is getting me down that I cant find a hole through.. the Gyrocopter...
The problem is is that it flys around my units like an annoying mosquito just peppering me with bullets and since chaos has very minimum artillery I find that catching this thing is nearly impossible.
Whenever my units charge it it flees and since it has a much better movement range it always seems to get away. Now I've caught it a few times but that doesnt stop it from destroying a large amount of my force making fall beneath his slayers and anvil of doom....
Im thinking of using some furies to try to chase it off the feild but that longshot is all that i got right now...
If you can think of anything Im ready for it.
i dont play as chaos, but i have faced them before. i personally think the only way to stop that pestering gyrocopter ids with skirmishers. or put characters in your units and if the gyro gets too close, let them leave the unit and take it out. hope this helps. good luck!
What power does your army worship? or are you undivided? If you're undivided or Tzeentch then I strongly advise you to invest in a decently sized unit of Screamers! With those lurking at the back of your army, the Gyrocopter won't be able to come anywhere near you without the risk of being caught and shredded by these superb daemons. While Furies could also do the job, they're not nearly as strong or tough as screamers and could easily fail to damage the Gyrocopter and lose the fight (then probably vanish in a puff of smoke).
If you get very desperate, you could invest in an Exalted daemon. These are combat monsters and also have the ability to Fly, the downsides being their great expense and the fact that they take up two Hero slots.

I'd suggest either Fast Cav (360* Shooting arc) or some Beast Herds to deal with that dwarven menace.
Play Slaanesh and cast titilating delusion on it, then watch it fly away to the furthest corner on the battlefield.
The exalted daemon idea isn't bad one, but as has been point out costs a lot of points. The handy thing is the fly and terror abilities are also handy for going after artillery pieces etc.

My advice is to either take fast cavalry or some form of skirmishers (for the 360 degree sight). Marauder Horsemen with throwing axes would be good.
A few Marauder horsemen with throwing axes would hardly touch a gyrocopter (it's T5 with 3 wounds!), you'd need about 20 of them to even scratch the paintwork. Trust me, I've used throwing axes plenty of times before and they cause little if any damage to enemy forces (even against basic troopers). And don' forget that they only have 360-degree arc of sight for shooting, they have a normal 90-degree arc for charge purposes.
You definately need either flyers of your own (ie. Screamers or Exalted daemon. Furies only if desperate), or you need to overload on magic and try to take it down with that. If neither of these options is viable, your only alternative is to ignore it and press on with your advance, only trying to defeat it if a very good opportunity presents itself. Whatever you do, you can't start turning main combat units around to try and face it. That's exactly the effect the Dwarf player wants, to slow down and break up your battleline.

tnx, that really helped!
I faced him the other day and he was too chicken to move too close to me due to my horrible furies, but he didnt know they were bad ;-). I absolutely destroyed him everywhere else ! thanx
