mark of slaanesh
runesword of chaos
armour of damnation
steed of Saanesh
Doesn't look too bad, though I think that the Chaos Runesword is a little expensive for what it does. You can't really go wrong with Chaos Magic Items, there are quite a lot of good combinations, though some are better than others. One of my favorite combos is the Beguiling Gem and Crimson Armour of Dargan, just because
Do you suggest i change the runesword for something else?like armour of damnnation swrod of blood and gaze of the godz maybey?or switch gaze of the gods for pendant of slaanesh and an enchanted shield?or maybey change the steed of Slaanesh for a barded chaos steed for a better armour save?and thanks for the feedback
You might want to change the Steed of Slaanesh for a Barded Chaos Steed and put him with a unit of Knights if and only if you have them in your army. Otherwise, you might want to consider having him fight on foot, as he'll be very vulnerable out there on his own, even with a high movement speed. Give him two hand weapons and you can get the extra attack for a massive amount of points cheaper; I take back what I said - there aren't that many good magical weapons among the Chaos Hordes; they're all quite expensive. If you're looking for a good and characterful item, I would suggest the Whip of Pleasure. That way you can take that and an additional hand weapon (I think) and get more attacks, plus you strike first. Helpful in challenges and in close combat equally. Your armour save isn't too bad if you're on a Barded Chaos Steed and even if you're in a unit, there are few shooting weapons that are going to have a good chance of wounding the Lord anyway. The rest looks fine from what I can see. As a hint for the future, don't spell it "Gaze of the Godz" anymore...
Well i read the wip of pleasure entry but i dont think i really want it because on the steed he'd only be strentgh six and i wanted bladed of blood and pendant of slaanesh because if i lose a wound i get an attack then i regenerate it.I will put him in a unit of knights with the raptourious standard.

You do realise that's the same strength as a DRAGON! And one point stronger than a Dragon Ogre Shaggoth! I think strength six is plenty strong enough mate.
Anyway, I'm not suggesting any equipment combos for you, just some advice. Asking for help about equipping your characters is no problem, it is after all an important element to making an effective army. However, don't always go with the most expensive items, or the most common and/or cheesiest combinations (ie. Pendant of Slaanesh & Blade of Blood). Rather, you should look at who your opponents will be (if you play against the same people at a club for example) and think about how certain magic items will help you against those opponents.
Against Heavily armoured armies, you'll need something that can cut through armour, like the Great Fang. Fighting high damage armies such as Ogres, you'll need more protection. If you're facing horde armies like Goblins or Skaven, you'll want lots of attacks instead.
If you don't know who your opponents will be, then select magic items and combinations that can help against a wide spectrum of foes.
"Peace, through superior firepower."
Thanx for the help guys maybey the whip of pleasure might be a could idea how about this lord
At'Zar lord of chaos
armour of damnnation
wip of pleasure
pendant of slaanesh
barbed chaos steed
Go for the Great Fang (that's in Beasts of Chaos) and the armour of damnation with the enchanted shield.
Although I would recommend the gaze of the gods - never overlook a ward save.
Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.Originally Posted by amishcellphone
Well, it all depends on what kind of army you're going up against, as Tzeentch Lord mentioned above. I would recommend that you have two different configurations that you can change on the fly depending on what your opponent is using. The current config looks good against horde armies and can dish out a reasonable amount of attacks but, again, I would take an extra hand weapon instead of a shield to give yourself even more attacks. Most horde armies don't really have incredibly strong basic troops and so your armour save will remain relatively unchanged. As it is now, a 2+ armour save will keep your lord alive through most of the game. The Pendant of Slaanesh is not something I would recommend because that 2+ armour save will mean he hardly loses wounds anyway. Besides, what use is an extra attack to you if you're dead?
Against more elite armies or those with lots of tough troops, I would do what Rork said and go with the Great Fang, Armour of Damnation, and possibly the Enchanted Shield. A ward save is nice too...maybe you could take that instead of the enchanted shield. Gaze of the Gods will be pretty hard to get without dropping one of your other items (I don't have my Hordes of Chaos book in front of me right now, so don't quote me on this).
Thanx for the help guys i was wanting to make a chaos lord to challenge enemy charecters and i thought runesword of chaos was good because i would be hitting and wounding on twos and he would be WS 9 which could be useful and all succesful hits against him would haveto be rerolled and this means that most of the time the enemy will be hitting on 6es!
P.S:i dont have beastman book yet but i will tommorow i cant today because its crhistmas oh yea and merry christmas!
